Non-Off-Topic Posts in Off-Topic section

I just want to say that I've been noticing an increasing number of posts in the off-topic section which really don't belong there.  Pretty much anything which is related to audio in any way can go in some forum on this board besides the off-topic section.  If you can't decide which forum it should be in, just post in the general audio section, though it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where to post just by reading the forum descriptions on the forum display page.

It seems that sometimes the moderators have been too eager to moderate. I posted a thread about the misconceptions of MP3 quality a few weeks ago in the 'General Audio' forum, but it was almost instantly moved to the off-topic area without any further notice.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  I looked through the logs and found out what thread you were talking about.  I moved the thread back to the general discussion section and I'll have a talk with the person who moved your thread also.  Sorry about that.

For similar complaints in the future, please notify me about these kinds of things people.  Please don't email me either, use the PM function on this board.. it's much more likely to get my attention quickly.
