I use EAC V1.0 beta 1 and lame 3.99 Just wondering is -B 320 -q0 bette

I read that VBR -V0 uses -q0 by default why isn't -V0 default in CBR instead it's default to -q3. Are there any reasoning why they choose -q3 by default? Just wondering if i should go with the -b 320 -q0 instead of the default -b 320.

First look at the documentation for -q:
http://lame.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/lam...detailed.html#q

There you'll see that CBR's -q and VBR's -q mean different things.

However, there was also a change in 3.99 such that CBR and ABR are now using the VBR psy model & quantization code, so it's possible the interpretation of -q has also changed. Does anyone know for sure?
