Note : Developers please consider adding your components to this topic (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=42916), and anyone who have too much time on his hands might be glad to spend some of it keeping the wiki (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Components_0.9) updated.
POST OUT OF DATE, here is a more up to date version (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=42730&st=450&p=435090entry435090) or there is still the wiki.
In an attempt to make things clearer to everyone (developers & users), I would like -with your help- to regroup all the plugins that needs a 0.9 port and those that have been ported already.
I'll keep the list updated as often as I can
Please do not post a request if it's already in the list.
Updated plugins are listed at the bottom of this post.

NEW = New version
NEW = New item in the ported list
Dates are DD.MM.YY
Versions numbers will be added to any new component / new version, the ones without version number are older than september 2006 as far as I know.
If a download link is corrupted the plugin must have been updated without my knowledge, hit the page or topic link and search for an updated link (that you can post here).
Many descriptions of what these plugins do are available either on the wiki (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Components_0.9) or in this topic (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=42916)
Thanks for your support, and feel free to correct anything wrong.
POST OUT OF DATE, here is a more up to date version (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=42730&st=450&p=435090entry435090) or there is still the wiki.
foo_toaster
foo_uie_albumart
foo_uie_tabs
foo_uie_trackinfo
that's all I want to have
oh yes, toaster would be nice too
I'm currently waiting for:
foo_playlist_tree
foo_lyricsdb
foo_uie_lyrics
foo_title
foo_audioscrobbler
foo_channel_mixer
foo_dirwatch
foo_dsp_delta
foo_uie_lyrics
foo_massdelete
foo_playlist_bind
foo_custom_sort
Besides some of already stated in the first post i would also like to have the following plugins:
foo_lirc
foo_vis_projectM
foo_vis_bacon
Some of these plugins are indeed plugins suited for specific needs, but the ones like foo_infobox should long been in the default foobar installation. It makes life so much easier and whatever it is replacing is far more inefficient.
I don't see why everytime fb2k is updated we need to find the developers of such essential plugins and get them to update their stuff again. What if no one can find them?
foo_output_asio.dll
foo_dsp_soundtouch.dll
foo_uie_vis_projectm.dll
foo_nero.dll
foo_oddcastv3
foo_ui_columns
(couldn't find those, sorry if I repeated something)
foo_ui_columns is already updated!
Note that some of the plugins mentioned in here have already been ported to 0.9
If you really want to make a thread like this, I'd like to see the first post contain some kind of status info for each plugin, a link to the updated version once the plugins are ported, and maybe a link to the relevant discussion thread.

Doesn't it just enable people to keep old usage habits from the Winamp days instead of learning how to make proper use of foobar's more efficient native interfaces?

Indeed, and so are foo_audioscrobbler and foo_dsp_delta.

I totally agree with you but I don't have the time to do is on my own so thanks for pointing out that some plugins are already ported, I'll move them to a new list then, and please if you have a link feel free to post it here, it should make his way into the list too.
foo_massdelete (or foo_Delete)
foo_infobox

Why not use the buil-in feature -> File operations -> Delete files? Maybe I don't understand completely what foo_massdelete does in the end, but seems like the built in feature should be good enough. (It deletes files and if the folder is left empty it asks if you want to delete the folder as well...)
foo_playlistgen_ex
Very usefull
foo_playcount (the playback statistics component (http://foobar2000.org/components/index.html) at the main site is different from the original tboehrer/kl33per (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/tagging.php) version)
Perhaps the ability of assigning a shortcut is missing.
foo_pod
foo_speex (enables playback of the Speex file format)
UPDATE: Now natively supported by 0.9.3 beta 1
foo_dsp_crossfeed appears to have already been ported, but no download location exists for it.

Like this?
foo_dsp_continuator is very useful for me. Allows for intelligent, seamless crossfading between tracks.
Antd of course, WigBam's
foo_cue_ex for extended cuesheet support.
I also very much liked the old database search utility, but I can't remember what it was called. Perhaps the new media library plugins can be far better.
Also, the old freedb tools were useful... can't wait for those.
Is there a plugin that could serve the same purpose as foo_history and which might be ported? (no port planned?)
The I-net radio plugin would be nice to see in 0.9. Also a "search database / playlist box" in the ui_columns whould be great
foo_msn (AMIP is not ok because it still shows track in messenger when you pause it)
foo_winamp_spam
This thread is useful as you are posting the versions as they come out. Good work!
Thanks a lot for info guys
what about foo_uie_trackinfo.dll? Doesn't seem to be ported yet!
Source can be found here (http://yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au/~kspear/foobar/releases/foo_uie_trackinfo-src.zip)
Thnx in advance
foo_dsp_ssrc.dll (Resampling plugin that uses the SSRC library, was part of the special installer of foobar2000 0.83 IIRC)
foo_dsp_bs2b.dll (configurable crossfeed-emulation plugin for headphone-listening)
foo_convolve.dll (general dsp convolution plugin, originally by Garf, IIRC)
Cheers,
Tim
I like having foo_dynamics for listening to music at work on my speakers at low volume.
Could you please add a description in addition to the filenames on the list. I have no clue what 90% of the plugins on the list do.
foo_wma (Enables .wma playback.. if it isn't ported already..)
I also very much liked the old database search utility, but I can't remember what it was called. Perhaps the new media library plugins can be far better.

I understand and I must say I don't have any information either about most of these plugins.
This would represent some huge work and I'm not ready to do that now, but I might try and add descriptions for the ported plugins later...

L'embarras du choix? No, really, I sometimes use foobar2000 for pseudo-mastering purposes, and having ssrc, which is a really high-quality resampler, at hand in your dsp chain is really really handy.
But I agree that, for normal listening, pphs is a good choice as it uses less system resources.
Cheers,
Tim
Seriously, could you guys make this thread sticky? At least for a while, until people are used to 0.9 and its plugins.
This is a very useful topic. Thanks a lot.

Done.
Please keep the discussion about individual components to a minimum, i.e. use separate threads for in-depth discussion to keep this thread manageable and easy to use.
foo_spc (using "Like SNES" settings at 32KHz, rather than High-quality emulation at a different frequency)
Edit: I'm stupid. I wasn't aware that foo_gep covered all my base already lol.
foo_minibar
Source code that compiled under 0.7 SDK: here (http://home.nyc.rr.com/mgarrido/foo_minibar-0.7-with_src.zip).
rotjong
Let's not forget:
foo_uie_simple_spectrum.dll
foo_dsp_dolbyhp - Dolby Headphone
foo_uie_volume - Volume control
necessary for me:
foo_controlserver
foo_text (or foo_text_ftp)
foo_write_http
not so necessary:
foo_out_dsound_ex2
foo_uie_volume - Volume control
There's a volume slider in v0.9 - just click the dB level indicator in the lower right corner.
foo_playlistfind (searches the playlist, and can be added as a toolbar/panel)
Only one I'm really waiting for...
foo_mim_notify
It sends notifications with now playing information to Miranda IM.
Edit:
I would like to withdraw this request if it's possible. I just found foo_prettypopup and I much prefer it to foo_mim_notify.
call me stupid but where is the 0.9 freedb2 component
ive been looking on foosions site but cant find a link
all his components are for the RC, not the final version

Thank you. I'd like volume slider integrated into interface because it's easier that way. I know all the things about RG and other means of controlling the volume. I used shortcuts and I've switched to that plug-in for a while now and I got used to it. I'd hate to shortcuts again.
Edited.

PPHS is just as good resampler in real world solutions and hass less samplerate impairment than SSRC.
I'd like to hear a description and ways to recreate what you're stating here about the "quality difference".
Start a new thread about it to avoid sóiling this one

foo_scroll <- ColumnsUI provides this functionality (activate...)
I believe that component provides the functionality to focus the playing track on any playlist. With 0.9 I can focus the playing track on the current playlist, but if I'm browsing another playlist it doesn't seem to work. If anyone can point an alternative way to do this in 0.9 I'd be happy with the following, probably already mentioned, components:
foo_playlistfind
foo_uie_albumart
foo_msn foo_msnalt does it for me
foo_infobox
foo_playcount
foo_dts would be cool.
Also adding throwing my support behind foo_vis_bacon and foo_uie_albumart.
richter, you can add a volume slider to the toolbar or sidepanel by right-clicking on it and going to toolbars->volume.
foo_dsp_pause without it i allways need a second install of foobar for minidisc recording (
foo_bookmark essential for audiobook listening
foo_ym
foo_looks (skins for foobar), though I seriously doubt it will ever be ported.

foo_dsp_Foobar2WinampPlugin.dll
I'm really using it just to get iZotope Ozone to work with foobar.

Some of these plugins are indeed plugins suited for specific needs, but the ones like foo_infobox should long been in the default foobar installation. It makes life so much easier and whatever it is replacing is far more inefficient.
I'd imagine that a great number of persons use plugins that "should" be distributed with the main installer. The problem is, there has to be some arbitrary point at which the developers ultimately decide that enough is enough. Otherwise, there would be more than one-hundred of such essential plugins bundled with the default installer.
I don't see why everytime fb2k is updated we need to find the developers of such essential plugins and get them to update their stuff again. What if no one can find them?
File a "missing person" report?

As for the nonessential plugins being bundled, etc... wouldn't it be pretty trivial for someone to maybe maintain "the ultimate collection of foobar components" that can be included in an installer and made available right on the foobar2000.org site along with the fb2k download?
I find it a bit annoying to have to seek out and download dozens of handy plugins every time I do an install of foobar.
Actually, because I help a lot of other people install foobar, it'd be great to be able to create an installer for a customized, pre-configured version of foobar, or at least some way to simplify the process of making modifications to several copies.

this plugin is a must for me, i really miss it in 0.9 beta. upNorth has been working on something similar + my (very much needed) requests for this plugin here (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=22220).

Before v0.9 allowed you to queue files for playback. The playback queue would show as a separate playlist or - in columns UI - as a panel.
I mean, what good is the ability in 0.9 to enqueue files without being able to see the playback queue? No offense, but i find Foosion's Playback queue viewer rather clumsy.

Hello all,
I have started the port of foo_dsp_xover to 0.9
The port compilation trend is:
..In 0.8.3.............................0 Error.......0 Warning
..Initial port to 0.9...............9 Errors.....0 Warning
..Turned on Unicode........168 Errors...20 Warnings
..Started the real work......28 Errors...52 Warnings
..to be continued...
Now that the tutorials are available, especially the dsp one,
things should even go faster, as long as time permit...
For the non-developers :-) be aware that 0 Error does not
necessarily mean a working program. Usually there is still
some work required. Even if the software appears to be
working, at least some test is required...
For the developers ;-) 0 Warning should always be the norm...

* Plugin for foobar2000 0.8 have removed.
* New look of configuration windows of plugins.
* Default coefficients of default middle crossfeed level and of

What about foo_gestures?
I dunno the exact names of these plugins, but... I miss a crossfade plugin, and a plugin which go to to the web to look for an album cover.

Also manudevil,

Now I'd like to add foo_vtx and foo_msx from there to the wishlist as well. It seems that foo_adplug and foo_ym are already there.
As an aside, it seems that a plugin called foo_ahx, for decoding .ahx files, was made by kode54 - it's referred to in this thread (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=34613&st=0) - but the link is broken and I can't find it anywhere. What's its status?
Also, is there some sort of Foobar2000 port or equivalent of Winamp's Oldsk00l Replayer System (http://www.rift.dk/index.php?view=area&project=Oldsk00l) that can play Amiga modules?
Besides all that, I'd like .stm support - which I expect in foo_dumb or some such sooner or later, as it supports .s3m already - and .mgb support. .mgb files are files made by the Paragon5 GBA-Tracker, and it seems that there's not much support for them: an XMPlay plugin (http://support.xmplay.com/Plugins_input.html) is all I could find.
I don't ask for much, do I?

You can start of with a seperator as base and add sub-panels, think the rest is kind of selfexplaining, at least if you spent some time to find out how everything works

For those not familiar with it, it allows you to create multiple sort strings so you can can quickly choose a different order to display your music in. It adds them to the Sort menu in the main Foobar menu, so its handy to assign them to F-keys to quickly re-sort.
I'm relluctant to move full time to 0.9 until I can get this or something similar.
I'd love to see this plugin too. This functionality could almost be built in...
thank you Seldaek!
maintaining this topic it's just too nice... much better than the "Verified components for foobar2000" topic...
thanks again
The problem is that "Verified components for foobar2000" should be maintained by developers, and obviously they are not ready to do that. I won't blame them, they're already coding all the great stuff. But keeping track of everything on my own is impossible and I'm sure I missed some plugins in my "already ported list". Plus it lacks the last version number/date... Therefore I should work on a better solution by june when I'm done with school, if no-one do it until then.

foo_shuffle
Yes, I know its in the core and kode54 has stoped dev* on that one (though I had never encountered any instability with it). And i have hopes that the build in shuffle will in time become more customizable - but who knows, so i just add it to the wishlist. (for now the random-path just seeded once for playlist behaviour isn't what I was used to and I am truly missing the control of history size and jump-distance)
I support you there, after having run foobar for several days now, I'm beginning to suspect the real "shuffle-ness" of the thing. While playing with "Shuffle (track)" mode I find that I often stop by the same bands and mathematically speaking that shouldn't happen so often. Now it certainly never is impossible, but that's a behavior I used to have with winamp (but back then I shuffled the playlist instead of playing in shuffle mode). I could do that with foobar but then the playlist look quite wrong.

The core shuffle functionality in 0.9 is a completely different implementation. Even if it were possible within the current SDK, I would sooner rewrite that mess than port it, and even that is a far stretch from reality.
So much for our great hopes Well thanks anyway for answering.

Yup, thanks for answering
So lets hope the inbuild shuffle became more mature with 0.9 advancing And for me its no problem of keeping the 0.8 folder along the 0.9 and use it as my partys/rpg-evenings-jukebox (wich also is due to vis_bacon (where I still used the 0.18 as later versions chrashed the 9x (non-mmx cpu) system I used to have as my jukebox - now with me having a new x64 system that one will be rebuild on 2k (palomino)).
Skip Silence plugin (forget exact name) from 8.3
Was able to after a settable amount of silence start scanning the track till it found sound, usually a hidden track. I like to keep my albums in original layout including lengths of silence leading up to hidden tracks so I can re-create CD's same as original. Thus making the old skip silence plugin needed with my library.
Anything that does this yet?
It's "foo_gapkiller / foo_dsp_nogaps / foo_dsp_skip_silence" in the list, and nope, there is no alternative that I know of at the moment.

I hereby concur with John Doe. Or you (Seldaek) can just add the new stuff at the end of the '## Wanted' and '## Updated' lists, and keep them there for like, umm, 5 days or something.
PS: Thanks to the developers for porting plugins to 0.9, you guys just rock!
Frankly maintaining this topic is already fun enough like that (just try to quote it to see how it looks in the editor..) without having to check for dates and everything.. So as for now, you can press CTRL+F and check if what you need is ported or not pretty quickly. Then you can read this post (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=42730&view=findpost&p=380953) and the few that followed..
Although I could add a date when I add something to the ported list, I'll try to do that, but I doubt it will be really easier to find out what's new..
Update foo_text please!
Q: Would it be sensible/possible for one of the mods to "pin" this discussion in the fb2k/3rd Party Plugins subforum? I've found it to be an indisposable resource through my 0.83 to 0.9 migration, and I'm sure many others would agree. All thanks due to Seldaek for keeping things up to date.

Btw, developers should post their updated components here (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=42916). Doesn't look like many people make use of that.

Yea, this topic should definitely be pinned imo. Best plugin topic of all.
As mentioned above there is already a pinned topic of fb2k 0.9 components in the 3rd party plugins forum. Although it would help if developers actually used it. I am certainly not gonna pin another one on basically the same issue.
Requested update for foo_input_ym (the name foo_ym in first post and that I mentionned earlier on this topic is the old name of the component and should be changed)

Well.. before I even noticed that topic I had already ported about 3 plugins. I hate making multiple consecutive posts. Is it allowed? I'll post there if it is.
Maybe the first post of this thread should provide a clear link to the "official topic" - and encourage devs to announce their port in the official topic as well.
Well there is a link, but it may not be that obvious.. I'll try to change that.
Although I must say I prefer my raw listing display, it would be better with a small description of each component. The other topic, if filled properly, wouldn't give an overview of everything as a list does.. It's more like Thumbnails mode in windows explorer. Different schools I guess. Well anyway I have a dream that one day I'll manage to make this updater component, I've a lot of ideas and I'm sure others do too, I just lack the time and C++ skills at the moment, but time should allow me to learn, so it all comes down to that.
@Seldaek:
It may make sense if you'd consider this list as a "WIP-list" - like a notepad with the latest info - and consider the official thread as a more "solid" and "finished" list.
A bit like this_list=todo, official_list=results
Actually, it may even make sense if you would encourage devs to post ported plugins in the official-thread only. That would make things easier for you as well, because the official list is more "clean" and less "noisy" - so you could easily check if any new compotents were ported.
- Lyx
Well the devs hardly post it anywhere but in their dedicated topics anyway.. Most of the new releases notes I had in this topic came from users. So I put a note in the first post here but I doubt it will help a lot..
I agree this list is incomplete for a starting user, he won't have any clue what half of the plugins do by just seeing their dll name, but for experienced ones that are only looking for specific components I find the list format to be easier. About the noisy-ness of this topic, I think I don't agree, or I didn't get what you mean, but I prefer the alphabetically-sorted short list than a huge topic with several pages (which is not yet the case of the official .9 plugins topic, but I already fear the day page 2 will come ). In the end I think it's simply a matter of personal taste.

The former does not exclude the latter: If the official thread becomes too long, then a TOC could be added to the first post, with links to the posts of the thread. Doing something like that with your thread would be much more difficult. Thats why i proposed to consider your thread as a "working-board" and the other as a "list of results".
Anyways, your work in this thread is highly appreciated (by me and i asume many others as well).
As mentioned above there is already a pinned topic of fb2k 0.9 components in the 3rd party plugins forum. Although it would help if developers actually used it. I am certainly not gonna pin another one on basically the same issue.
Well.. before I even noticed that topic I had already ported about 3 plugins. I hate making multiple consecutive posts. Is it allowed? I'll post there if it is.
Sure you can make multiple consecutive posts there if you have multiple plugins.
foo_dsp_oss3ddsp (http://www.oss3d.com/index.html) is updated
is it used to be free?
eejadx: I guess it wasn't free as they talk of old "registered users"
GeSomeone: No problem, this is purposely a junk topic anyway.
Lyx: Having a mix of the two topics as you said would be the best a forum can do I guess. I'd have some more ideas, but I'll talk about it later when I get to work on this updater component (considering no one does that before I'm freed from school).
eejadx: I guess it wasn't free as they talk of old "registered users"
thats what i thought
anyway you might want to add those plugins in the updated section:
foo_game (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/input.php#130)
foo_dsp_atsurround (http://www.andrewlabs.com/downloads/downloads.php)
foo_dsp_tube (http://www.skipyrich.com/foobar/foo_dsp_tube.ptml)
foo_amipwrapper (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/general.php#40)
foo_advancedcontrols (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/general.php#138)
Sure, thanks, it's updated.
Any news on foo_playlistfind?
Do we have an alternative to foo_uie_typefind ?
foo_winamp_wrapper ?
It remains still the only way to play USFs on foobar (and GSFs, though they throw up an error message every time one is stopped).
I know USF and GSF support are on the list, but this would enable it now, partially, at least.
Though ideally native components are more desirable.
the download link for foo_playlist_tree is incorrect.
The actual link is http://foobar.bowron.us/foo_playlist_tree.zip (http://foobar.bowron.us/foo_playlist_tree.zip)
foo_dsp_delta (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/dsp.php#92)

Um, why isn't foo_wavpack in the list? Is the one working with fb2k 0.9 already available?
It is simply because no one asked for it I guess..
First post updated by the way.
WavPack is support by foo_input_std.

Duh True I just have to associate it with foobar.

Thanks for the info. Nice!
I know that URL, but last time I checked there were only 3 things there.
Is there any plugin for 0.9 that will show just a search box and will search the current playlist, compatible with columns ui? Some sort of interface version of the shift+f search.
foo_out_asio is now available (from the developers) for 0.9.1
Page (http://www.foobar2000.com/components/index.html) and Download (http://www.foobar2000.com/components/foo_out_asio.zip)
(please update first post)
Yep thanks, I added the whole official plugins page in fact, for the sake of having all plugins listed, and because I found that I had missed one myself that interested me a lot, so I reckon someone else missed them too, as I hope I'm not the dumbest guy on earth.
Shouldn't foo_wma be removed from the wanted list because it's not incorporated in v0.9.1 ..?
Yes it should, but as I just said I may still be the dumbest guy on earth so thanks for the input

There where two dll's for Foobar included with the new Samurize beta installer. Both failed to load at Foobar startup.
did some digging, and is it true that there is no way right now to skin foobar 0.9? every component that used to do that (that i found ) has been discontinued. or is there any other way i'm not seeing here to tune the foobar looks after columns_ui??
pano: An UI plugin is among the most complex kind of plugins you can do for fb2k. The set of users capable of writing a good UI plugin and the set of users wanting a shiny skinned UI are probably quite disjoint. It's not that impossible though, all you need is good knowledge of the Windows API, the fb2k API and C++.
foo_dsp_ssrc (http://otachan.com/foo_dsp_ssrc.html) is updated by Otachan.
I'd like to have the ability back to save http streams, like it was possible with messer's modification of foo_read_http.

At this point there is no way, except for changing your Windows theme.
When will be foo_uie_simple_spectrum for foo 0.9 ?
Hi, I have once seen a screenshot of a plugin that provided a "user friendlier" interface for creatingthe tag data. Common fields like Artist, Album, Year, Genre etc. were given with boxes next to them to insert the information.
I cannot remember the name of that plugin and cannot find the site where I have seen that screenshot, screening the 2 lists at the start of the thread did not help either. Therefore I cannot determine if it is already mentioned or not. Can anyone help or have I been taking crazy pills?
Thanks,
preatorian

I think you mean foo_infobox.
update for:

Dunno if I'm the only one but, I updated track info, and lost all my configs... now I have to do it all over again
Same goes when I updated colomnui. And old album art isn't detected anymore, I had to update it too (see the "note:" link, its a version made by foosion).
EDIT:
foo_browser and foo_playlist_tree also updated for new columnui
Yep, all these were already marked updated in the first post;)
Although I just had the same issue with TrackInfo so I'll add a warning..
oh I havn't checked before, my bad
at least I'm not the only one who had problem

My bad, sorry mate
Is there any plugin for 0.9 that will show just a search box and will search the current playlist, compatible with columns ui? Some sort of interface version of the shift+f search.
foo_uie_quicksearch (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=44012) offers this capability, among others. I will port it to 0.9 but it may take a while since I want to finish all foreseen improvements before.
The owner of this thread may want to add foo_uie_quicksearch [derived from foo_uie_search] to the first post.
foo_ui_minilyrics
MiniLyrics v4.3.2175 for foobar2000 v0.9 is out today.
This is a similar program to foo_uie_lyrics but more lyrics database to download.
ps: It sometimes crashs my foobar (c++ run-time error). Try out yourself if you interested.
[edit] It now works fine now. Probably fresh installed minilyrics being blocked by firewall cause it to crash? Don't know... But it works all fine now.
There is one vital thing that minilyrics doesn't (and probably can't) offer that foo_uie_lyrics had. That is the ability for total integration into the user's layout. I do not want a floating window above the player and everything else. I want a plugin that would be a part of my foobar layout that will never move and when i minimize foobar, it will go with it. I am just saying this because I am hoping that the statement to have us try minilyrics doesn't mean that this one will not be ported. foo_uie_lyrics and minilyrics are just too different and the latter will not serve my needs.
No Farinhir that's not what it means. But I don't use any lyrics plugin so I didn't know what the differences were and I put the "try minilyrics" to give some people an alternative, now if you think it's not enough feel free to contact the developer to have news from him and see if he's planning to port the plugin. I can't do it for every plugin but I will add any info you can provide me with to the list.
An update of foo_vis_stereo would be nice
An update of foo_vis_stereo would be nice
I may do it when I am finished with foo_uie_quick search (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=44012), which is not yet ported so it will take some time.

OK just thought I'd mention, if it's useful, that kode54 said that he might try porting foo_dsp_soundtouch sometime later eventually (he said that nobody remembers that it exists, but from what I've seen a lot of people miss it).
Also it's been bugging me for a while, but "foo_soundtouch" is redundant and erroneous.
You can take foo_uie_console out of the wanted list.
Its in the ported list but still exists in the wanted list.
Just something I noticed.
Cheers, keep up the good work.

I didn't say nobody remembered the component, merely that some people were unclear on its origin after so much time since they last needed to update it. The fact that I did away with my 0.8.3 components page does not help matters.
I will get around to it eventually.
I some how my panels and teh ability to create new panels after upgrading to Column UI v1.3 7v6. Any ideas?
UPDATE: looks like it all has to be done in the preference menus...but I can't add Album Art or track info panels?
Nevermind, updated to latest versions that they show up.
trance, I'm not sure what you mean but I think you should make sure you have the last version of Albumart/trackinfo (redownload them from the first post) and then try to add them through the layout configuration of ColumnsUI

There was a new version of the ASIO plugin released today. It now works with the Emu cards.

Same here Canar, may try to port it this summer when I have the time if it's not ported until then.

Hello Seldaek,
as reported on http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....howtopic=29316# (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29316#)
the foo_dsp_xover port to 0.9 is completed.
See http://xover.sourceforge.net/ (http://xover.sourceforge.net/) for further information
Thanks again Seldaek for maintaining this list.
cheers,
François
You can use masstagger scripts and assign them to keys.
We certainly "can" do that, but it's not convenient for the kind of usage I made of it. I had date, origin and genre submenus with a lot of entries in each one when I used foo_quicktag, and I don't think you can do submenus with masstagger. That's the main issue, a single menu with everything in it would be a mess.

By the way, i there any software can used to re-adjust all lyrics time stamps according to the "offset" setting? I need it because my hardware mp3 player does not support this too.... too bad.

foo_lirc ported
Here is the ported version.
I haven't used neither foo_lirc nor foobar sdk prior to version 0.9.1, therefore in some cases I had to make blind guesses when certain classes were missing or were too different. Please tell me if anything works incorrectly, I'll fix it if I can.

BTW, can someone test if it works with embedded cues?
Just a curiosity... Is there really people here who likes spending time listening to their favorite game sounds with foobar?
Yes, infact the reason I didn't switch yet is because foo_vgm isn't ported. foo_gep needs looping control on it badly.
foo_gep also needs a way of turning off specific parts of it. A few of the pieces of it aren't as good as standalone components, but because it's all or nothing I have to use seperate components.
And I'm also eagerly awaiting foo_vgm for 0.9.x. =)
EDIT: Clarification.
foo_dsp_reverb
It existed sometimes for foobar v 0.7.. does anyone have the sources, or at least the ways to contact author?
Or maybe some other examples of pure reverberation algorithms implemented in C++?
foo_sheduler
wonderful plugin, cannot wait!
Does anyone know who created foo_filedate?
This plugin is almost essential to foobar, because I love keeping track of new music.
Finally i can post!
thats cool stuff..
i really miss foo_soundtouch. I can't play many songs : too slow for me
I found foo_playlistclear.dll on http://otachan.com/foo_playlistclear.html (http://otachan.com/foo_playlistclear.html). It clears the playlists on startup. I really don't see the purpose for this plugin..
Well... actually I find it useful for my portable foobar... but maybe it should be "clears playlist every time foobar is started on a new computer"...
Just a suggestion. This thread should be stickied, if at least temporarily. I don't know anywhere else where you can find such a complete collection of ported plugins.

Known bugs and planned features:- BUG: display is blank on startup if image path is relative (i.e., "components\default.*")
- BUG: when switching to a playlist with no items, display is blank
- CTRL+drag to copy image
- allow multiple instances (very low on the priority list)
-----
Please be aware that your "transition time" setting will be reset to 300ms when you upgrade to this version.
I added automatic cycling of sources during playback in this version. If you don't like the automatic cycling, it's easy enough to disable on the "Behaviour" tab. Another feature I added was that Album Art Panel now responds to items being added to the playlist. The main benefit is that now, if you have "Auto send to playlist" enabled in Album List Panel, the album art will be updated as you browse the Album List. It's not exactly the same as the old "external control" option from 0.8.3, but I think it's a pretty good approximation.
I've been making a lot of tweaks to how the album art changes when you change tracks or use "Next Source" and "Previous Source", so any kind of unexpected behaviour you see, please let me know and I'll take a look at it. I'm probably going to make the location of the "No Cover" art separate from the regular sources list in the next version, and that should take care of a few of the lingering bugs that I'm seeing.
foo_uie_quicksearch (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=44012) has been ported to 0.9. Enjoy !!!

I don't know how many people use this plugin, it's not ver well known I think. But it's quite handy. It's able to place several buttons, and title song and elapsed time on the title bar of every on-top window. This enables you to handle foobar fast and everytime, without having to click outside your window, or minimize the window. I hope someone will port it soon!

Discussion about the fate of foo_fullscreen split to separate thread (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=45416).
Haze, are those two for saving a custom textfile? If so, search for the texttools, by I think foosion...
Thanks for that....got it working. It was in foo_utils
That makes me think that if a request has become useless because of another plugin, please say it, I don't know all the plugins so I can't really tell.
That makes me think that if a request has become useless because of another plugin, please say it, I don't know all the plugins so I can't really tell.
I think the foo_out_dsound_ex2 request has become obsolete, as foobar2000 0.9.2 makes the fading options of foo_out_dsound_ex2 available on the Preferences -> Advanced window.
Also I think foo_input_monkey has been updated on 05.06.06 and there's no word about stability issues on the optional components page anymore.
.. if a request has become useless because of another plugin, please say it,
Not useless, but as an alternative for
foo_dynamics I now use
foo_vlevel (when I need dynamics compression). It works differently, but great for my needs. (already in your updated list)
Also I think foo_input_monkey has been updated on 05.06.06 and there's no word about stability issues on the optional components page anymore.
Thanks for the heads up, it's version 2.1 now. A pity no version numbers or last update dates are mentioned on that page.
Now if someone would care to port
foo_dsp_skip_silence from case, that will skip long silent parts ..
I think the foo_out_dsound_ex2 request has become obsolete, as foobar2000 0.9.2 makes the fading options of foo_out_dsound_ex2 available on the Preferences -> Advanced window.
I see that foo_out_dsound_ex2 has been taken off the list now. the fading options in 0.9.2 still dont match what foo_out_dsound_ex2. foo_out_dsound_ex2 also allowed the user to adjust the fade curve and the fade in curve. Whilst I would still like foo_out_dsound_ex2 ported, I think Foobar 0.9.x will catch up, but its not quite there yet.
any info about foo_quicktag ?
Need SoundTouch badly.
new foo_uie_lyrics_panel.dll from http://foobar.s53.xrea.com/up/ (http://foobar.s53.xrea.com/up/) 06/09/2006
Thank you for this news!
Boy, I'd also love to see skip_silence. That one is super handy for me.
When I burn a CD, I can eliminate the pre-track gaps, which sometimes means the difference between the burn succeeding and failing. It's also handy for listening to music or CDs with weird long gaps and silence. I wouldn't think it'd be too difficult to port. Is that one open source?
foo_scheduler please !
foo_scheduler please !
Seconded! That would rule so much.
I haven't seen any mention of foo_dsp_surr.dll. It provides features such as a phase inverter that can be quite usefull.
foo_scheduler please !

Thirded!!!!
Boy, I'd also love to see skip_silence. That one is super handy for me.
Me too, me too. Though I used it in combination with foo_dsp_continuator. Crossfading silence into another track doesn't sound so good.
foo_winamp_wrapper is mentionned in the list. In Foobar 0.8.3, the wrapper I used was foo_winamp_input.dll. If it is a different component, could it be added to the list ?
I know devs have filed it under "Known potential troublemakers" but I found it very useful to use the MIDI abilities of my sound card...
May I add foo_skip as well please? ! I'll even dedicate my signature to you ! <-- Awsome huh?
Hello. it's my first post on forums, so Hello World!
Plugin suggested by me to port is "Spatial 3D DSP" (foo_dsp_Spatial3D.dll):
-bandwidth extneder (nice working frequency reconstruction)
-harmonic booster
-echo
-extra stereo
Especially the first two functions are nice for low bitrate mp3s (<16kHz cutoff). I can't find any homepage for this plugin, so I'm still using Foobar 0.8.3, because i listen alot of radio stations, so 128kbps is the standard.
May I suggest the Minimal View Plugin (foo_minview.dll)? It adds a small (and customizable, with... a hex editor ) bar with the main playback buttons which remains on-top even when Foobar is minimized. Very handy.
perhaps you could add foo_navigator to the list?

Hello, anyone interested in porting foo_ui_notepad?
I found a link on Google: http://foo.cjb.net/foobar2000/old_school_G..._ui_notepad.dll (http://foo.cjb.net/foobar2000/old_school_GUI/foo_ui_notepad.dll)
I'm not too sure which version this is for, maybe 0.7?
4Front Headphones Plugin (http://www.yohng.com/headphones.html) has been ported to 0.9.
Enjoy It!
I would like to see an update of foo_dynamics from 0.8.3, and also, foo_skip_silence.
foo_vlevel only amplifies the volume of the track, it doesn't compress the entire waveform. It's extremely noticable when this occurs. Quiet instruments will be loud and then they will be far too quiet as something louder comes in. foo_dynamics compressed the whole waveform so all of the different instruments ended up being at about the same level.
and why wasn't skip_silence included with 0.9? it's essential.
Good news about foo_dsp_skip_silence (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=45849) (click) that seems to be quite popular.
Once again Acropolis saved the day
(see: the remark about vc++ runtime dll's)
10 days since the first post was updated, maybe more than one person can keep the post updated?
Why foo_unpack is still in the Wanted ports list as it is included in the foobar installer?? I guess you can remove it
Aye RavenSoft, sorry but I was busy with school stuff, the end of the year is a bit of a rush. It's updated.
"foo_wma implemented into 0.9.1"
Only half-implemented. Tagging is not implemented.
So I would like to add foo_wma to the wanted list please.
Thank you!

Thank you!
It's unlikely to happen as the wma support is included in foo_input_std.
Only half-included as I said!
Only half-included as I said!
I mean it's not quite possible to write another plugin to support wma, as foo_input_std will not ask other plugins to play wma as it can support playing them.
so the possible solutions are:
1. make foo_input_std open source, so people can implement the undone part
2. ask the developer to finish the undone part
3. remove the wma support in foo_input_std to let people implement a new one
4. change all wma extension to other, and have a new plugin to play the files with that extension
I mean it's not quite possible to write another plugin to support wma, as foo_input_std will not ask other plugins to play wma as it can support playing them.
So it's impossible to create a separate plug-in which would only take care of the tags. Tagging is so bound to the playback part ?
So it's impossible to create a separate plug-in which would only take care of the tags. Tagging is so bound to the playback part ?
propably, I need to check.
It is not possible to split the functionality of an input service across multiple instances, so no, you cannot implement tagging and playback of a given format in separate components.

Question: am I missing something about foo_utils? 'Cause I can't quite see some of the options I had in foo_playlist_output... Like the whole 'write playlist to a file' part? =s
Nice list anyways, useful ^^
shouldnt foo_dsp_soundtouch be moved to the updated plugins list?
prettypop is updated to version 1.2.3
how about foo_centercut ?
It seems that foo_uie_tabs has been ported (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=46106&view=findpost&p=407833) to 0.9
i'm looking for foo_speex, foo_lpac and foo_la for 0.9.2.
does someone have information of those components?
edit: drunkn' typo^^;
I've been looking for speex support since the advent of the 0.9x series. I'm very glad to hear I'm not the only user who would appreciate it.
But those of us who cannot program can only "possess our souls in patience", as Sherlock Holmes would say.

Could someone be kind enough to port it to 0.9, please?
Thank you for that bit of info., kjoonlee. I respectfully echo the request that some kind soul please port it.
Jim
The foo_dts download link is missing.
It is not possible to split the functionality of an input service across multiple instances, so no, you cannot implement tagging and playback of a given format in separate components.
So what if you guys release a version of foo_input_std without WMA support, so that another dev can handle tagging. Win win situation?
foo_music_title_bar.dll
Plugin home page (http://jorydownloader.sourceforge.net/fb2k/#foo_music_title_bar)
Please add this plugin to wanted ports list...
I don't know if such plugin already exists, but I definitely could use a volume control that can be inserted in the DSP chain. I would also like it to include a peak/RMS meter so that I can see what is going in and coming out of various DSP plugins.
It would be nice if could acommodate multichannel audio streams.
My favorite headphone processing plugin- the dolbyhph.dll loaded via the Dolby Headphone bridge seems to have a limiter built in that chokes on 5.1 streams if the music is mastered hot.
Some music sounds really good on headphones if preprocessed by the Channel Mixer first. But it too lacks master output volume control. It only has a few relative volume controls.
A volume control/meter with multiple instance support would be sweet.
I know there is the RG control- I would like something a bit more flexible and advanced.

I ported foo_dts to foobar2000 0.9. There is no configuration, tagging is always enabled and dynamic range compression disabled. I ported foo_dts to foobar2000 0.9. It will use tag formats present in file when possible, but adds APEv2 when there are no tags or only ID3v1.
Hi Case, welcome back.
You might have noticed that, in the mean time, Acropolis (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=44963) has also ported this plugin to 0.9 (and foo_dsp_skip_silence too). It does the job (when you have the VC++2005 runtime installed). I just mentioned this here in case (no pun) confusion arises between these plugin versions.
I guess your plugin will write tags only when a tag changes? Well I hope so.
foo_bluetooth_ctrl
Unless I've completely missed something, there's currently no way to use a symbian phone as a bluetooth remote for foobar 0.9 (I haven't even been able to find something that sends global hotkeys to windows). I've just upgraded from 0.8.3 and it's the one thing I really miss. I don't think the author is planning further development but the sources are available.

"foo_input_std (update requested to read LAME encoder infos + option to force tags format)"
As of 0.9.2 there is an option to force mp3 tag formats under the advanced section in preferences.
I would still like the ability to read LAME encoder info again though.
I don't see foo_tfmx on the list, nor can I find ANY link to it anywhere...
I really miss foo_uie_dbexplorer. It was simply the quickest and easiest way to access my audio libray in foobar. At the click of a mouse I could switch genres, artists, albums, even listen to music by year. I could combine genres, ie. listen to just Jazz and R&B or Metal, Rock and Classic Rock. I don't know who created this gem, but please, oh please update it for 0.9.

Version 1.0 beta 8 of foo_sic is available for download.
This release should fix issues with foobar2000 0.9.3. It also caches FooID fingerprints, so if the same song gets played twice while foobar2000 is open, the fingerprint will only need to be computed once. The cached fingerprints are not saved persistently.
The option on the advanced preferences page have no effect yet.
Context menu now features "get tags from foosic.org" but it seems to be non functional right now.
Indeed, this command - like the "foosic.org" entry in the ripping dialog - is only a stub that was left in the release version by accident.
Will you recompile and upload it again or will it stay until beta 9 is ready?

With reference to foo_vis_simple_spectrum, how comes such a loss of interest in a component that was included in the fb2k package before?
Most wanted:
foo_cue_ex
foo_inet_radio

foo_freedb(not freedb2)
Second wanted:
foo_gapkiller
foo_dynamics.dll
foo_quicktag
foo_scheduler

Please... Should I learn to C/C++???
Learning C wouldn't get you far since the foobar2000 API requires you to use C++.
Most wanted:... foo_freedb(not freedb2)
What's the difference?
old freedb support multi language using charset.dll
there is no way to handle japanese, korean, chinese with freedb2. it is broken.
and old freedb had more options.
it could edit tag in advance to writing, select which tag should be written.
Two new components to be added to the 'ported' list:
foo_alarm v1.02
Topic: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....c=46954&hl= (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=46954&hl=)
Download: http://asmo.at.tut.by/foo_alarm.zip (http://asmo.at.tut.by/foo_alarm.zip)
This plugin makes foobar play a specific song at a time u said it should to..
foo_menu_addons v0.1
Topic: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....c=47332&hl= (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=47332&hl=)
Download: http://acropolis.my-place.us/foobar2000/foo_menu_addons.zip (http://acropolis.my-place.us/foobar2000/foo_menu_addons.zip)
Adds a menu to access the dsp's (main menu -> Playback -> DSP Manager) and another one to move tracks up/down in the playlist without dragging them (playlist popup menu -> Move; guess he meant the context menu)
One suggestion to Seldaek:
Do you think it would be possible for you to add the version numbers to plugins that you add/update in the future? As you remove the updated dates after a while (and you cant find out if your version is updated by the date u updated the list) you could see if your plugin versions are up-to-date without checking all the homepages/topics
rururu started porting some plugins to foobar 0.9.
foo_s98 -> foo_input_s98
foo_mdx -> foo_input_mdx
foo_nsf -> foo_input_nsf
http://www.vesta.dti.ne.jp/~tsato/soft_fb2kv9.html (http://www.vesta.dti.ne.jp/~tsato/soft_fb2kv9.html)
foo_lua: adds lua (http://www.lua.org/) language support to foobar.
However, this component is not listed anymore on the author's (foosion) page, even in the older components section (http://foosion.foobar2000.org/index-0.8.3.html).
This component was interesting, as it allowed to execute advanced scripts in foobar, with very little added weight.
norz: i also miss foo_lua *a lot*, but i don't think we will ever see new version from foosion. someone else could continue developing it though - as sources are available and i'm sure foosion could help. it would require someone with rather advanced knowledge of foobar's api etc.
Is it just me, or does not a single version of play_count work for 0.9.3.1?
it's just u
You're right - I failed to notice the new official one. Thank god. And foosion for pointing something out.
tbar_foo & Foo_remote:
[a href="http://img79.imageshack.us/my.php?image=foobar7qeom6.jpg" target="_blank"]
Updated official components:
foo_playcount (official) has updated to version 1.3.1
foo_out_asio has updated to version 1.2.4
One new official component:
foo_verifier (v1.0) which is File Integrity Verifier.

For the next version of Columns UI, please change this:
When you're making a tree and choose "Change Base" of the FIRST item in the tree, it should come up a window so you can confirm that option, cause I choosed "Change Base" 100 times of mistake when I just wanted to choose "Insert Panel".
So my tree gets fucked up and I need to start all over.
This might be the wrong thread to make requests for plugin features.
On the first page is a link to the ui_columns topic, you should try it there.
For the love of God, please port foo_explorer!!!
Or maybe someone could write something new that's similar. With features like 1by1 would be nice. I've got two loves: 1by1, which is my ultimate interface ... and foobar, which does gapless properly.
Trackinfo_mod was updated (v0.5 beta [Aug 16 2006 - 20:49:57])
It now supports images and a few fixes were done.
For the love of God, please port foo_explorer!!!
do you, by any chance, mean
foo_uie_explorer - as that has been ported already. or do you need to open current file / folder in windows explorer? there are quite a few plugins which can do that.
maybe someone else can take over this thread. 2 weeks is terrible without updates.
maybe someone else can take over this thread.
What about
you?
maybe someone else can take over this thread.
What about you?
Wouldn't this thing benefit a wiki entry more than any single editor?
The thread author added the number of the last post he read, so why don't you read the posts since the last and stop complaining about someone who wastes some of his free-time to help the lazy asses in this community?
But i agree that a wiki would be better in some ways.
For the love of God, please port foo_explorer!!!

Uh ... mazy ... you just made my MONTH. You were totally right, and the functionality I wanted is actually in foo_uie_explorer. For me, foobar is now absolutely perfect. You're my hero.
Wouldn't this thing benefit a wiki entry more than any single editor?
Here (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Component_Repository) you go.
With all your help to keep it up to date, this could be very usefull.
Please, discuss this wiki page in the talk page (http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000_Talk:Component_Repository).
On the main page there stands that foo_bluetooth_ctrl is ported to 0.9 but it isn't...
Update time !
Sorry once again, busy times, but I should be more regular from now on.
About keeping this updated.. well I try to promote the use of the wiki how I can, and I see that it has been updated quite well. That's nice. I will still update this topic with the submitted data or if I see a new version of something on my own, but I think you should use and update the wiki.
I wish there were foo_recorder ....
Hi,
foo_oddcastv3 has been updated for 0.9.
Version: 3.1.14
link: http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv3/ (http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv3/)
homepage: http://www.oddsock.org (http://www.oddsock.org)
wma tag support

I'd love if someone could port foo_filedate by wizard, who seems not to have time to do so.
He has uploaded the source here (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/redir.php?id=424)
I would love a panel version of the queue viewer....I know that this can be done with playlist views, but it is so easy to send a track to a queue with the push of the button rather than having to manually add a track to a new "queue playlist."
it has been ported
http://chron.visiondesigns.de/foobar2000/f...nager_0.2.0.zip (http://chron.visiondesigns.de/foobar2000/foo_uie_queuemanager_0.2.0.zip)
thx for adding the versions in your list
foo_RMX updated to support foobar2000 0.9!
Check here for details: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....mp;#entry433130 (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=22563&st=100&gopid=433130&#entry433130)
There's an alpha of foo_ui_gfx for 0.9 available at http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=47891 (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=47891) .
not only foo_vtx, but foo_AY_Emul...
foo_menu_addons updated to 0.3.4
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....=47332&st=0 (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=47332&st=0)
now includes functionality that replaces "foo_pl_hopper"
(jump to next/previous artist album etc. - especially useful with remote controls)
foo_uie_tabs.dll was updated a little while ago to v0.2.4 and is a considerable improvement to the version currently listed (v0.2.0.7?)
link (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=46138&view=findpost&p=431375)
You can now remove from the Wanted ports list :
foo_crossfade--> fooo_dsp_crossfader http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....&hl=oddcast (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=48524&hl=oddcast)
foo_oddcastv3--> http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv3/ (http://www.oddsock.org/tools/oddcastv3/)
WMA Tags support ---> 0.9.4
How come that foo_uie_single_column_playlist isn't added to the list?

foo_uie_tabs is updated
V. 0.2.4
This component is modified foo_uie_tabs.
Changes are as follows,
* Would be able to hide tabs
* Set limit MinHeight per tabs
* Operate tabs from mainmenu
(notice: GUID of mainmenu commands is created from tab names, so I'll recommend that you change tab names)
and some fixes by original porter to 0.9:
* Fix unnecessary dynamic_cast<>
* Fix that would be able to add some panel types into the tab from "Add Tab" menu (playlist, splitter)
* Improve stability of reading config
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....st&p=431375 (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=46138&view=findpost&p=431375)
Official updated aswell:
0.207
http://www.teknique.net/up207.zip (http://www.teknique.net/up207.zip)
This is the final version.
changelog
*fixed display of the splitter panel in the tab.
f*ixed construction the layout tree of the tab in the tab in the Layout Page of Columns UI.
*improving safety in reading config.
*updated to latest SDK.
the lack of foo_toaster for 0.9 is one of the reason I prefer to stay on 0.8.3, if it could be brought to 0.9 I shall update my foo experience !!
foo_uie_simple_spectrum
If someone is going to redo this plugin, it would be nice if it were more like the spectrum visualization in GoldWave. Screenshot:
(http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/142/image2rt0.th.png) (http://img180.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image2rt0.png)
Attention: The Thumbnail is showing a dark picture. The actual picture is quite colourfull. Imageshack seems to have problems with PNG images with optimized palettes.
foo_uie_volume
The current volume toolbar in foobar 0.9.x can't change the global windows volume settings as known from the original foo_uie_volume. This plugin should be added to the wanted ports list.
I'd love if someone could port foo_filedate by wizard, who seems not to have time to do so.
He has uploaded the source here (http://pelit.koillismaa.fi/plugins/redir.php?id=424)
Seconded.

.la plugin would be GREAT!
and so would foo_tbar, <--currently using it now with foobar2000 .6, and my cpu is very low i thought it'd be high but nope anyway that's pretty cool to see in the corner lol.
Is this list still being updated?

a SMART transcoding plugin
something that can detect the following:
if MP3 = ignore
else re-encode into x
x = whatever the user wants it to be (OGG, MP3, MPC, FLAC, wutever)
there's the logic, sometimes i wish i knew how to program...
purpose? ipod doesn't support all those formats, it'd be nice to transfer music to it without manually transcoding each incompatible file

Though this slightly offtopic here, you can have such a function via the autoplaylist plugin (supposing the tracks are in the libary). Just create a string that filters out the files you want and convert.

is it worth getting on to the developer and asking him/her to make these copycat modifications ... ?

There should be a wrapper in foo 0.9 for older componets .... rewriting all is silly
I found this:
Plug-in: foo_rg_trn
Name: Replaygain override
Description:
This plugin provides a way to pick a replaygain mode between Album, Track and No replaygain for the different play orders. For example, when playing random tracks, track gain is suitable, while when playing albums back to back, album gain probably is better. Thank you to TrN for the idea.

Use the Cue-to-Apl converter (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=56906) to extract tracks & metadata from cue sheets in order to play them with foobar2000 0.9.* or later.

Yep, I'm glad foobar2000 now has USF support. There's now a official page for the fb2k port of 64th Note here:

Seems that the dev is going to rewrite the CPU emulation code into seperate classes to allow for multithreaded conversions using foobar2000's convertor component...
My wish:
A foobar2000 DVD player plugin!
I need my concert DVDs sounding as good as when having to rip them to play through foobar2000 with all my favorite DSPs settings etc.
It's a lofty goal but I thought I'd put it out there anyways.
Maybe someone could just reverse engineer from here to get a head start or something:

I would very much like my CrystalFontz 634 screen to work so...
foo_crystalcontrol2.dll
One of the the Great Ones (Foosion or Kode54, I don't remember) mentioned that he'd like to make a bassmidi plugin. That would be reallly great, that's a very good, fast and small midi player which can use the sf2 patches that come with Creative cards or can be downloaded. It would be so very great not having to load xmplay when I'd like to play midi
AFAIK, kode54 expressed interest in making a BASSMIDI-based MIDI component.
Hi! my first post here:) any chance for foo_winamp_input for v0.9? or is there any other way to use winamp's input plugins with foo v0.9?

v 2.1.2
Hello,
the upper link is very strange. There's written, post is out of date. But if I click it, I'm coming on the same page.
If got a request. I'm searching a foo_dsp_nogaps or foo_gapkiller dsp. I've got mp3 contineus mixsets, splitted in serveal files with this typical annoying gaps on track change.
I'd like to export the file names as cue-sheet (works, 'cause correct plugin) AND export all files as a single mp3-File. I've got several foobar version from 0.8 to 1.1. I've also got c/c++ skills. If there is no current port I'd like to convert it myself. I'd like to have that DSP very much.
So, how do I start, where do I get the source code, what do I have to change in the code to get it running?
Greetings from Germany
Might the skip silence (http://www.saunalahti.fi/~cse/foobar2000/?changes=foo_dsp_skip_silence) DSP, built-in to foobar2000, be of use in this case?

If you refer to my nogaps / gapkill dsp, I already tried that skip silence DSP out. It doesn't work. The smallest value for that dsp are 200ms. Thats still to large.
I also think there is need something special to obtain a continues mix without any gaps as output.
There is also Gapless Crossfader (foo_dsp_crossfader.dll) by Acropolis.
There is also Gapless Crossfader (foo_dsp_crossfader.dll) by Acropolis.
Thank you very much. It's working very well except it's not reliable to 100%. It's a little difficult to configure it. I set the dB threshold to 97 but it still cuts to much of the track of. See here:
It seems even if the threshold is set to 100 it still works not accurate enough.
