foo-infobox crashlog

Hi! My foobar crashed while using the special file infobox (v1.3.6a). I looked at the fileinfo of a single MP3 file, which had the standard and a few non-standard tags. I highlighted a non-standard tag name in the list and clicked on the button above, labeled "Copy". A short moment later foobar crashed with this log. I can reproduce this behaviour.
Sorry I haven't updated to foobar 0.8.1 yet.

foo-infobox crashlog

Sorry,I can't reproduce this with 0.8.1 in winxp sp1.
In fact I haven't tested foo_infobox in Win98/me,but it should work

What "copy command formatting string" did you use?
"Copy" command copy the info of the highlighted track to clipboard, using formatting string saved in foo_infobox's config page.So which tag name was highlighted had no effect on "Copy" button.

Hi /\/irana - thanks for replying!
I've upgraded to foobar 0.8.1 now and I can still reproduce the crash when clicking on "Copy". The new crashlog is below. From your reply it sounds as if the problem might be unrelated to the foo_infobox, and instead be due to the foobar "Copy" command itself. So I've tried to highlight the file on playlist and click "Copy" in the context menu - this works fine.
So I assume the crash is related to foo_infobox.

Also, here's the copy string that I've got in the foobar setup.
Quote
[$num(%_playlist_number%,$len(%_playlist_total%)). ][%artist% - ]$if(%title%,['['%album%[ #[%disc%/]$num(%tracknumber%,2)]'] ']%title%,%_filename_ext%)[ '['%_length%']']

Your crashlog has showed that foo_infobox is the suspicious plugin caused crash.
foo_infobox's "Copy" command doesn't use title formatting of foobar,it has its own copy formatting string in config page
Could you please post your copy formatting string of foo_infobox(preferences->components->special file info box)?
Can you reproduce this with every track or just some special tracks?

Hi again!
Found the copy command string in the foo_infobox setup page... it's as follows.
Quote
Artist:$if2(%artist%,Unknown Artist)$char(13)$char(10)
Title:$if2(%title%,Unknown Title)$char(13)$char(10)
Album:$if2(%album%,Unknown Album)$char(13)$char(10)

I think I can reproduce with any track... I've tried it with a few different tracks, and some of them had non-standard tags that I could highlight. But after you said that the highlighting doesn't matter, I picked another random track and just clicked on Special File Info and then on Copy button in the new window (as before), and it crashes. I think it happens with every track and every time I do it, but let me just try once more...
Yes, the crash happened again, with a "random" song. I don't know if the crash occurs with every song, but I've tried about five different songs now and it happened every time. If you want another crashlog or any other information, let me know!
Most of my tags are MP3.

Hmm
I think it should be unrelated to audio files,I just want to confirm this. And copy string looks well.
I have tested foo_infobox with 0.8.1 in win98(using VMware),but can't reproduce.So I have no idea now

I suggest you test it with a fresh installed foobar.
If this didn't fixed carsh, then I can do nothing but say sorry
delete foo_infobox.dll from components directory or just ban "evil" copy button

Hi again - thanks for your help! I only get this crash on the windows ME machine I have at home... and I think I totally misunderstood the function of that "copy" button in any case, so I won't have a real need to use it. I think I'll just avoid clicking it, as you said
