Output from computer to LCD TV... DVI-HDMI or VGA?

Hi everyone

Pretty straightforward question I'm guessing...

I've bought a nice new Sony Bravia HD Ready 32" LCD TV. It's awesome.

It has 2 HDMI sockets and one VGA socket.
But no DVI input.
One of the HDMI sockets is taken up by my DVD player.

I used to have my shuttle box connected to my old TV using a composite yellow standard phono connection, which was adequate.
But now I guess now I can improve that a little.

My graphics card has DVI output and VGA output.

What's going to give me the best quality video output?

1) Going from VGA on the graphics card to the VGA input on the TV?
2) Buying a DVI to HDMI adaptor and buying an HDMI cable?
3) Or buying a DVI to HDMI cable without using an adaptor?

Will I notice a big difference in the output quality?
Obviously I'll have to change the screen resolution of the shuttle box to match the native res of the LCD TV.

since #1. is free, try that and see if you are happy about it..., #2. and #3. should be identical.

most likely nope (depends on your graphic card).
