Lots of anti-virus scanners and so-called malware detectors like to flag infrequently downloaded software as bad until it is either downloaded enough times, or its developer actually bothers with getting each individual release allow listed by every single AV vendor. You can do many people a great favor when encountering such a "problem" example by submitting them to your AV vendor for examination. For almost everything on this forum, it is a false positive.

Yes. And football is football.
Well, only a geographical meditation:
America is not a country. America is a continent, at least for now. USA is a big country, but some people there are thinking "WE ARE AMERICA". Brasil is not America? Argentina is not America? Alaska is America, but Canada is not America? Mexicans are not North Americans? Is USA alone in America?.
Maybe we should ask it to Cristobal Colon or Americo Vespucio.
Regards.

Here in Mexico (a famous writer once said "Poor Mexico, so far from God and so close to the US"*) we are used to this America crap. We stopped caring about this kind of attitude:

his own people is true I don't see how you can "see" dubya or the governmant as a whole as the great satan. That is a broad sweeping statement
that besmirches the good names of all those who do good in the governemnt which is obviously more than you think.

Yeah, in Mexico, we do this    A LOT

Hehehe. I figured maybe all these guys were just mixed up. After all the two can be easy to confused. Big guys in red suits. Heck even their names use the exact same letters just in a different order.

First, sorry for the off-topic.

Neo Neko:
Maybe you must read the posts more carefully and send the answers to the correct person.

My personal point of view:
I'm saying that the attitude of take the name of an entire continent unilateraly is not good, is a bad sign (is that respect for other American countries?).

About the war:
I'm not saying that things in Iraq are right. I'm not saying that Saddam is a good president for Iraqi people. I'm saying that a war is always bad for definition. About the "humanitary motives" for this war, I think you are being a bit ingenuous. The money move our world, and this is a money question. But I will agree with you if, when this war ends, the US Army go to Africa, for example, and give freedom to the people who is under dictators there. That would be coherent, but things are not white or black, my dear friend, you must know it.

In my case, I use the flag to tell where I am from, and where I live; and I use the location to tell where I am.

I do the same.

Btw, is it possible to add pre-1994 Belarusian flag to the forum? I like it better.

What kind of attitude?  Why do you care if America is called America?  Do you want to be called America?  America is a country, not a continent.  North America and South America are continents.  Ever looked at a map?

More of topic, sorry again.

Penvzilla:
Well, then you are learning a new geographic map in the college, but the name of your country is United States OF America. Why?

It's easy:
America (Continent)= North America + Central America + South America.
-North America = Canada + USA + Mexico
-Central America = Guatemala, Belice, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Haiti, Republica Dominicana.
-South America = Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago, Surinam, Guyana, French Guyana, Brasil, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile.

A big continent, indeed.

I noticed that right after I posted it. And I tried to edit it. Has anyone else had the forum software throw in all HTML code that is supposed to come after the text area inside it instead? It has happened to me when trying to edit one other thread of mine and when quoting a few others. It does not happen consistently so I am not sure what is going on, but it looks as if a tag is not getting closed. Perhaps a check needs to be put in. I duno. It was supposed to be Bedeox though you are right.

Yes but I don't think they are going to be quick to point out that they are also Americans for a while. Since many of the terrorist don't often say they hate the United States but rather America. Wouldn't that be a rude awakening for them.

Yes war should always be the last resort. But I have a hard time trying to figure out what other resort there was. There was not going to be any co-operation that was not forced on the part of Iraq. So they definatly got it forced on them. :|

About the "humanitary motives" for this war, I think you are being a bit ingenuous.

Nope quite genuine. When money and humanitarian moves coincide it is almost always all good. Granted pure humanitarian moves would be better. But it is still better than a pure money move which this is not. I think everyone can find motives her with which they agree and disagree which is why it is so hard to come to a basic agreement. There is a definate humanitarian side to this war. It will remove the thorn known as Saddam and emancipate Iraq's people. That is something I am all for. But there are shady dealings on the money side it would seem. If someone want's to speak out against them I am for that. But I am for the war.

Well it looks as if N. Korea or Syria will be the most likely next moves. North Korea is going to take some time and finnese since it could pose a more dangerous situation. That combined with the fact that N. Korea is not actively comitting ethnic genocide of it's indigenous peoples AFAIK and yes no oil filelds are the reason I think Iraq got put before it among others.

Removing every dictator in the world may be a coherant course of action but I would not call it correct. There are some that most definatly should be removed. But a dictatorship by it's own nature is not always a bad thing. We may not always approve. But so long as the standard of living and human rights are not being wantonly violated.....  Well sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad. :|

AFAIK nowhere in any official government document is this country known simply as "America". It is the United Stares of America. And has often been shortened and generalised to just America. But to be 100% correct it is only the continent that is named America. Check yer globe.

If France, Germany, and Spain all joined together under one government they would be the USE or United States of Europe. But they would not have a monopoly on being european or things european in general.

Ok.  The United States of America, refered to everyone as America, started out as 13 fiercely independent colonies.  It isn't hard to imagine why they wouldn't want to name themselves "Colonia" or "England 2".  People who lived in Virginia thought of themselves as Virginians, not Americans.  We were a loose alliance at first.  The federal government back then was a joke compared to what it is now.  And none of the other countries seem upset that they aren't called America.  Couldn't they name themselves whatever they want?

There is no continent "America". There are two continents with America in their names: "North America" and "South America".  2 out of 7 continents, the others are Europe, Asia, Australia, Antarctica and Africa, which I learned in elementary school.  The point which separates North America from South America is, if i remember my first grade teacher correctly, the Panama Canal.  There is no such continent as Central America.  Mexico (which we stole a big chunk of), Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Belize (forgive me if i omit any Central American nations) are part of the continent of North America.  And please, I am talking only about political boundaries.  I know there are a lot more than 7 continental plates.

As an American, I am ashamed of what we have to to many of the Latin American countries, but I took geography in grade school.  Maybe they classify the continents differently in other countries?  If so, I apologize for appearing stupid and insinuating that you did as well.  This has been a silly arguement.

You have your reasons, I have my reasons. I don't agree with the motives and the consecuences of this war. That's all.

penvzila:
Uffff, yes, maybe you are learning a new geography.
As you say, America is America. A continent discovered in October of 1492 for Cristobal Colon, and called America dued to its first cartographer, Americo Vespucio. The english and french colons arrive there "a few" years later. North America and South America can be called subcontinents, divisions of the same continent. It's the same that West Europe and East Europe. Think about the sense of the rings of the Olympic flag, for example.

I'm not saying that Central America is a continent.

No, they are part of Central America. You are speaking about it yourself.
See this. The source is a USA web page.

Not problem.
And please, don't see me as anti-America, anti-USA, anti-anything for this.

And I can understand a lof of the anti-american sentiment when things like this happen:

http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2003/4/3/235620/0824

Kuro5hin in not a hard new site and has been known to post their share of fluff and joke stuff. That post AFAIK falls under that category. One indication is that the only place you can find information on that so called bill is on their site. Google links back to kuro5hin only. Other search engines dont even turn up a hit.
