I don't think its a problem with the id3v2 support though

Maybe it supports ID3v2 now... One has to wonder why he even bothers... What's so special about his version of mpglib?

Anyway, I fixed the problem. Unicode text reading no longer assumes big-endian unless the tags are using the v2.4.0 UTF16BE encoding. (Gee, with so many spoony wrong-endian issues in id3lib, one would think it was coded for big-endian machines only...)

Otachan claims his foo_mpg123 does 64bit-float decoding while default foo_input_std does 32bit-float decoding. I don't use it because 32bit decoding is already overkill for me. Only valuable thing I found from it is mp1 support since you fixed your fooid3v2. (He also claims he has done some bug-fix of playing of MPEG2.5/8kHz datum in mpglib, I haven't understood them yet.)

Whee it works now. Thanks a lot!
Now I gotta enjoy all the cool new .8 features~

id3v2 and id3v1 tagging files looking in the beta 8b4 with Otachan's mp123 decoder works fine

Thank you!

Where can I download this updated foo_id3v2.dll ?
Is it included in v08 b4 already?

Hm. And I thought input_std decodes to 64bit as well.. (not that I care 'bout mp3 decoding anyway)

0.8 request:
please make it possible to move the seekbar/buttons/order/vis to the bottom of foobar like in the early 0.7 betas

and btw: the new "slim" design of the bars is GREAT

Just curious:
Is removing tags with an empty value a new "feature"?

I have quite a lot of "FULLALBUM", "VARIOUS" and so on with no value,
and they are being deleted.

Oh, and masstagger is way slower now.
(I have all my music on my local server, if that matters)

I found bug in v0.8b2. When converting multiple (loseless) files to .wav's only first of them will work. Other .wav's has right size but they just don't work.

Same here with F2k V08b2

[edit]
Fixed with F2k V08b4

Then how about telling the author or starting a new topic instead of spamming huge crash log here ?

This is my Album list configuration :

$directory(%_path%,2)|
$if($strcmp($strstr($directory(%_path%,1),%artist%),1),%artist%,%album% '['%date%']')|
$if($strcmp($strstr($directory(%_path%,1),%artist%),1),'['%date%']' %album%,$num(%tracknumber%,2).  %artist% - %title%)|
$if($strcmp($strstr($directory(%_path%,1),%artist%),1),$num(%tracknumber%,2). %title%)

When I drag a song in a playlist in the second case (artist is not part of the dir name, which I use for recognizing "Various artists"), the song is copied twice. I guess it is due to the last $if statement (which result in an empty string in that case).

Can it be fixed easily ?

Additional information :
In the same second case (Various artist), dragging the whole album works fine (No duplicates)

Playing NSFs with the latest plugins (Festalon AND NEZplug both) in 0.8 seems to use CONSIDERABLY more CPU.  It lags everything terribly, and this never happened before. This is probably a plugin issue... but I figured I would post it here since I never experienced this before upgarding to 0.8 beta 2 today.

Same here. Using beta 4 special (tried the updated compiles made today on http://www.cqasys.com/projects/kode54/index.php and it's still really slow) I keep all of my NSF and PSF files in archives. PSFs play fine with very little CPU usage, but NSFs are taking about 30-60% cpu on average (I have an 800mhz athlon), even when they are not in archives...

hope whatever the problem may be is cleared soon  Foobar2000 has better archive support than winamp, I try to use winamp as little as possible but I might have to start using it to play some of my videogame music collection...

High quality has always been a feature of Festalon, but that quality is rather expensive. Though... Please make sure you are using the latest, v0.3.0. There was an issue when I recompiled 0.2.4.3 with the 0.8 beta 2 SDK, resulting in Festalon library itself being compiled with MSVC with /O0.

The latest versions of my components can (hopefully) always be found in the usual place. Click the little WWW icon below this post. :B

I can't get right click on playlist tab "Save playlist..." to work with 0.8beta4. Is it just me? Works OK from Playlist Menu.

I've noticed a bug occuring with foobar2000 0.77c and still present with 0.80b4. It occurs with monkeys'audio playback (3.98), and especially seeking with CTRL + ARROW (one minute step). You can seek beyond the end of the file!!! and fb2k doesn't switch to the following track.
I've tried with mpc files, and there's no problems. Simple ARROW works fine too with MAC files.

I can't believe this program keeps getting better, nice work Peter.  Anyway...

I would really appreciate if a 'Make New Directory' button could be put on the Select Directory dialog in the diskwriter. Thanks.

My thoughts for improvement before a final v0.8:

1) Keyboard Shortcut[/i]
I just noticed that if the same button is assigned to more than one shortcut action, they add up (I guess they are really executed one at a time).

E.g. if you bind  NUM6 to both "seek ahead by 10 seconds" and "seek ahead by 5 seconds" it will actually seek ahead by 15 seconds. It might be a feature to satisfy special needs, but it can be confusing too. I guess making it impossible to assign more than one action to a single button is less confusing to new users. Fewer false bug reports maybe?

2) Customizing menus[/i]
I really like the new solution for customizing menus, but it seems to me that if you want to get an entry back to the menu, you have to reset everything. IMHO something in between the old and the new solution would be better. A list of removed items on the right that can easily be brought back to the menu (like it still is in the "DSP Manager").

3) Album list[/i]
It still doesn't seem to accept multiline strings, even though "views" are now entered in a box. If this support could be added it would be easier to write more complex strings. I think an "edit button" in addition to "double click to edit" would make sense too.

4) Reset all[/i]
Does the "Reset all" button have to be on every page in preferences? I fear I might press it by accident one day and I know others have already done just that. More "Reset page/menu" buttons would IMHO be a better solution. Move "Reset all" to Preferences->Core or something.

Thats about it. If I have simply missed something please tell me.

If you right click on the tree you can add stuff from there
new, i don't really get how the shortcuts are usefull for moving stuff around, they don't seems to work with alt+u/alt+d, at least not here
