Best freedb alternative?

If this service actually stops in a couple days, I'd like ot have something else ready to take over.  There are lists I can Google (AudioTag, MisucBrainzPicard, WhoSampled, ACRCloud . . . .), but anyone can put those together. I'd rather hear from people who love music the way I do. I need something for EAC and foobar2000. (Coincidentally, I've not gotten freedb to work with foobar2000 for a couple years, at least.)

So what are you using or plan to switch to?

I have been using Tag&Rename for quite a while now. Doesn't it rely on FreeDB? Are there alternatives?

What app are these settings found? I checked Tag&Rename and also DBPoweramp and could not find them?

I think it is under EAC\Metadata options.... or F12

I put descriptions in the filenames
EAC freedb metadata plugin.png
EAC built-in freedb engine.png
foobar2000.png

correct for EAC
EAC > Metadata Options > Metadata Provider tab (for freedb metadata plugin)
EAC > Metadata Options > freedb tab (for built-in freedb engine)

for foobar2000
File > Preferences > Tagging > freedb Tagger

I couldn't find a setting in the Tag&Rename Online Manual
https://www.softpointer.com/tr_help/0101_overview.htm
so you'll probably need to contact them.

Thx! I completely overlooked the descriptions at the bottom of each image. I use Foobar with IPod Manager to manage my music and synchronize with my iPod. But, I have yet to use it for tagging? Maybe it's time?
EDIT: @korth
Concerning FooBar2000, I used your image [and after about 3 tries got it right] to modify the settings. I tested it on an album that had some tags I was not happy about. It looks good! Thx! Maybe this could be an alternative (or even a replacement)

FreeDB may have stopped working Friday, June 12. EAC 1.3 could not resolve the address, regardless. I upgraded to EAC 1,5, which uses MusicBrainz Metadata Plugin by default.

Thanks korth. Using EAC, this works great for pulling metadata from  dbpoweramp. Any ideas on how to continue to submit metadata for albums not present?

AFAIK the dbpoweramp freedb database is currently 'read only'. If so, corrections and new entries would not be possible.
