Nero DVD Video writing not splitting ifo, bups

I'm currently burning with it so can't get the exact version but i brought an NEC dvd writer yesterday and it came with a new OEM version of nero.. I installed it though i knew my old one worked well with my old writer and i remember being warned off newer versions as the dvd videos it made never used to work on stand alone drives.. well all my discs burnt so far do work but i have noticed that its no longer burning the ifo and bup with the vobs in between.. or rather its not showing the order of the files in the application reflecting this, if it IS secretly doing this in the background then ok...

Anyways i know its crude but as the ifo is so important the seperating of them by megs and gigs seems to make sense to protect from localised damage...

Anyone know anything about this, and whether its a problem?

Thanks have done... i know bups are backups but i didn't see that mention anything about burn order.. the principal being that ifo and bup have vobs between it will move the ifo and bup to very different areas of the disc when the vobs are fair sized.. old nero used to do this you would see the files listed

VTS_X_0.ifo
VTS_X_0.vob
VTS_X_1.vob
VTS_X_2.vob
VTS_X_3.vob
VTS_X_0.bup

with there being gigs of data between the ifo and its backup bup.. now nero displays them as

VTS_X_0.ifo
VTS_X_0.bup
VTS_X_0.vob
VTS_X_1.vob
VTS_X_2.vob
VTS_X_3.vob

with only a few k between the two files.. a small defect on the disc and the ifo and bup will be broken breaking the discs playback..
