Ignore the comments here. Mods are ignorant when it comes to sound*quality*.

There's a difference *if* one can hear it. Most people can't.

I suggest to circumvent Windows drivers and use a (real) ASIO driver all along. Problem is: the built in foobar ASIO driver has a poor sound quality. And they don't care.

Look in the ticket forum over there

for more infos about affinity settings and infos about powerstates.

No use discussing with people here who can't hear it or claiming it's all the same.
