CUE sheets and track detection

Hi all.

I am trying my luck re the following.

I am ripping all of my CDs to a lossless library using EAC, what I need for each CD is: an image file (wave) + cue sheet and log, and separate files for each track with trimmed leading and ending silences, which I do manually, however, I  am not sure if the cue sheets are not generated correctly or there is a problem with my DVD drive (HP DVDRW GUE1N UE00) because most of the time the first beat of each song after song number 1 is trimmed in half (as per the below screenshot)




This is causing the previous track to have a noticeable "click sound" in the end and the track in question is starting with a noticeable cut.

But it is not all of the time, sometimes track detection is fair enough

Hopefully, somebody will give more info. Is it an EAC issue, my drive issue, or the way my CDs were produced?

I unable to determine if you are saying you are having issue with an unaltered lossless cue+image, an altered image with possible uncorrected cue or the altered individual tracks?
Perhaps you are using EAC's 'Process WAV' tool to trim the silent blocks from the image then trying to generate a new CUE sheet.

@korth  I am referring to an unaltered lossless cue+image and correct I am using EAC's Process WAV tool to open the image and check the CUE sheet and correct it manually if necessary.

The start positions for each track (INDEX 01 in CUE sheet) are taken from the TOC which is read from the lead-in area of the CD.

The CD. Occasionally this happens on a repressing. The audio data on the newer pressing is offset to a point that the original TOC no longer points to the actual start of the track.

Thank you, so it has to be the way these CDs were produced since it is not a repress, this compilation came out at the beginning of 2021.
