ColumnsUI & Panel Stack Splitter config for foobar2000 v0.9.4, v0.9.5 & v0.9.6

ColumnsUI Config using Panel Stack Splitter gives Foobar2000 a kick ass look, but these configs are not recommended for newbies to Foobar2000, DefaultUI is a better choice if you don't know how to configure a component and if you don't know a little bit about titleformatting script used in Foobar.

Have I missed something but that PDF file is not a complete manual as I can not figure out where the album art command has been changed. Also the neat little menu on the preferences page is a little to dark and hard to read.

@enigma    file/ preferences/tools/covers  if you got all "folder.*" for pics just change "front.*"  to  "folder.*"

I can't sleep & wake up & found out that you posted the config! Played around a bit with it & I have to say I love every bit of this config

Foobar's look never satisfied me more, Thanks again and again Falstaff.

A little problem though, the "Stop after current" button works wrong (reversely), when I select Stop after current it still continues playing the next song and vice versa. It doesn't bother me at all, just to let you know

And I like the font in Xchange 1.0.1 in the Spectrum and Intro panel more than the new font, how can I change the font to look like before?

Which button did you hit? works fine for me. Make sure its the button next to the show current playing song. Not the button next to the Stop button, that button is for your playback order.

just be sure that the stop after current option is off, then go to Xchange settings and RESET ALL GLOBALS (last option in the settings)

that will will your pb.

I have my album art in different directories - i.e. D:\Musik\Scene\A\Airbourne-Runnin_Wild-(US_Retail)-2008-RTB and then I have the folder.jpg-file.
How do I set up foo_cover so it shows all the folder.jpg for the different albums?

I tried that... but it doesn't work. Well, it works in the "IMG"-panel but not in the playlist! It works in the graphical browser as well but not in the playlist, like I just said. It also works in the so called "Theatre Mode"
Please, help!

Ok that solves my problem, thanks. How about changing the font in Spectrum and Info panel?

And any ways to export 5 preset custom configurations? Cos when I did something like reset all globals I lost all these custom presets

after testing a little I have my first question
is foo_covers absolutely needed ?
I had already problems with previous version 1.01 so I put it away
but now you asked to put it back and it's messing with elp and with my pretty pop up
cover dont show in pretty and in elp not all the covers show up

all fonts are in place,but all caption's 3 letters are too big so I see only 2 letters
ex: PL , CS , IM , SP  to downgrade the font ?

everything else seems to work very good indeed
already saved 2 panels config 

thank you for this amazing config

i haven't explain in the quick manual that there is a button to change the orientation of the layout : vertical / horizontal

that allows more possibilities for your custom layouts




@xScaryKidx:

ELplaylist and PSS image path are from what you have set in foo_covers ...

btw, a tweak that can help you for ELPlaylist, enter ELP settings, and change the value of the vriable __FOO_COVERS__ from 1 to 0 as shown below



it will force the path to use the path set in ELP, just the variable below this one : __COVER_PATH__ modify it if necessary (for now, it search images titled folder.jpg stored in the music folder)

Thank you so much for this release.  I love everything about it!

I just have one issue regarding flickering every ~7 seconds or so.  When playing a song, the play flickers for a split second as if something were being refreshed.  I had this issue with 1.01 as well.  You can see it most apparently in the volume slider.  The green to red spectrum flickers. 

I am under Vista x64. 

I'm just curious if this is normal or am I the only one experiencing it.

I have my artist pictures in the folder that holds the album, not in the album itself.  For example, c:\music\eagles.  How do I change the prefs/tools/covers to reflect that?

This is astounding... Over 800 lines of code! The added functionality is remarkable, you've really outdone yourself.

I absolutely love this config!     

I have a couple suggestions / bug fixes:

On Windows Vista at 1280 x 800, I have a small bug in the window positioning. Here's how to reproduce: Change to full mode, maximize, change to mini mode, change back to full. When the window changes back to full mode, the window size and position are a bit off.

Thanks for the tooltip fix - the channel spectrum vis no longer hangs while seeking, but I think I found another similar bug. While scrolling the El Playlist (a somewhat long playlist - perhaps 500 tracks), the channel spectrum and seekbar both hang.

[EDIT]: Also, a question about the search buttons: How do I change the text sent to wikipedia? I'd like to append the string "(band)", so that a search for Boston doesn't return the city, for example.

Second  thing, I would like to put a request - when component' tabs don't fit the narrow window, to put them in to a additional rows (imho two would be enough), or even move to side bar.

evo3, in foo_covers try and add  this:
C:\Music\%artist%\%artist%.jpg
This should display the "Eagles.jpg" if you named the art work something else like artist.jpg then use
C:\Music\%artist%\artist.jpg
Let me know if it worked for you

So, I miscounted.  I was just looking at PSS per track. More like several thousand lines of code. You are a foobar god!

Darn. I must have done something wrong? The initial screen has two script error boxes on the left side, top and bottom, and the icon in the sentence "To continue, click this icon <missing icon!> in the top left corner."

I installed foobar2000 0.9.6.6 using the portable installation. extracted components-xchange_v2.zip to the components folder, copied the fonts to the Fonts folder, and extracted xchange into the Foobar2000 folder. The initial screen described above appears right after importing the FCL file.

Any idea what I did or didn't do?

Make sure your Xchange folder is in this path, for example. C:\Program Files\foobar2000\skins\xchange
