PSA: Potential malware found on free-codecs (dot) com

I was looking to download WinMP3Packer and found this link (may include malware, I do not endorse it nor will accept liability if you decide to download anything from it) to free-codecs (dot) com: "hxxps://www (dot) free-codecs (dot) com/winmp3packer_download.htm"

However, the first option, labeled as All-In-One, has 26/60 detections on Virustotal, so is likely malware.

I recommend that you stay far, far away from free-codecs (dot) com. Everything you can get there is likely available elsewhere without the potential of nasty suprises.

Here is the Virustotal report: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/adf42662cdd8eb06360e5492a1d08492c49ca514e22eceee478045f0388a8df7/detection

I'm quite amazed that nowadays some (?) people are still using infamous - '90s - codec packs...
