The future of MusicBrainz Tagger?

I sure would like to see someone take up the mantel for MusicBrainz Tagger and make it more suitable for use with modern foobar
I would like to see 1 of 2 things
. current tagger brought up to new standards and cleaned up OR  2  the integration of of some of its  sensible features built into foobar as foobars own native look up is not fully reliable  even though MB has proper tagging data on its site.

I would at the very least like the option to fetch data manually by pasting in MusicBrainz Album ID which the tagger can do but if it was built in and more secure that would be  one less deprecated plugin i need to use
