Title: react2 creates suddenly no flac-files
Post by: alien-4711 on 2011-12-29 17:06:52
Hey, I am new in this forum and hopping that someone can give me a clue for solving the following problem.
I am ripping since an few weeks my cd's with eac/react and creating flac and mp3 at same time. The album cover art works fine as well.
Today eac/react is not creating the flac-file anymore. However the flac-folder with the cover-picture has been created, it is without a music file.
The mp3-part is working fine.
To solve the problem I started react2 and pressed Ctrl+F2 again. It worked for 2 CD's
Is there a posibility to log the whole process, to get more information what's wrong?

I am disappointed, no one replied my question.
Did I do anything wrong?
I am not very used to post software-problems in foreign language.
Anyway I got my problem fixed by reinstall in a different folder.

No. More information, such as your command lines, may have helped, but there is nothing worth complaining about. Rather than taking this personally, it may help to consider that it has not been that long since you posted this thread, that other members do not run on a schedule according to your posts, and/or that they might not have replied simply because they had no ideas (it is a rather inexplicable problem, especially with so little information to work with) and therefore had nothing worth saying.

Your language is fine (we see worse examples!). Again, stop worrying!

Good to know.

I know this is an old thread, but I've just been having the same problem with one album and it's been driving me mad.  MP3 music files all created fine, but no FLAC music files, only album art and EAC log file in the FLAC folder.  For me the problem was caused by a problem with the album art.

To confirm it's the same problem for you.  Retry ripping with REACT.  When Command window opens to create track 1, check to see if there is a line in the FLAC.exe paragraph stating  “ERROR: (--picture) unable to extract resolution and color info from file, user must set explicitly”.  If there is,  to resolve retry ripping with REACT, but select a different image of the album cover.
