Umm this thread is actually not so good place to ask that.  So I'll move this to off-topic forum as soon as you have read my answer (just say ok, when read).

Go to User CP at top, then click "edit options" and go to the end of the page and press "change avatar".
The maximum size of your custom image is 120 by 120 pixels or 15000 bytes (whichever is smaller).
