How do I make "collections" like in Mediamonkey?

I mean those nifty playlist-esque things which you can configure to show up certain artists or genres only. For example, let's say I want my Garage Rock collection organized under one. I'll make a collection, mark "Garage Rock", and it'll automatically add everything Garage Rock to it.

use album list (either from a panel embedded in your layout or via the Library menu). find an artist/genre, right click>Create autoplaylist. this playlist will now automatically update whenever you add/remove tracks to your library by the given artist/genre

if you want to build more advanced queries for an autoplaylist, use Library menu>Search and use the query syntax that is documented here.

You can also use filters in foo_facets if that's your sort of thing.
