How to automatically close a playlist when opening a new one?

Just a quick question.  I am new to FOOBAR.  I wanted to see if it is possible to close a playlist when opening a new one?  Thanks!

The answer depends on how you load playlists. If you are now using normal playlist files and you load them by commanding 'File' -> 'Load playlist...', simply switch over to using 'File' -> 'Open...'
If you have been loading playlists by dragging them from Explorer into a new tab, switch over to double clicking them (needs them to be associated with foobar2000).
If you do something else, you may need to clarify what it is you are struggling with.

I have Foobar set up to open a playlist when I double click the folder in the Folder List.  Unfortunately when I open a new one the previous one stays open.  I know it`s petty but I would like the previous one to close automatically when I open a new one.  Instead of manually closing it each time.  I have included a screenshot this time for reference.  Thanks for your time!

Configure the double click action to instead replace current playlist. That way your behavior will keep everything in a single playlist. Preferences -> Media Library -> Album List, set Double-click action to 'Send to Current Playlist'.
