Regexrename 0.1.8 Released!

I'm glad to announce the first public release of RegExRename... the mass file renamer for you!

It's (almost) totally based on regular expressions, easy to use, fast and powerful.

That's a nice program.
(but still doesn't beat renamefiles imo ..)

Or this one: Flexible renamer
This can also swap parts of a filename, like tracknr <-> artist.

Yes like in Google... it was really meant as a joke (i.e. a typo could be like *really* bad), thus the smiley.

I'm trying that too...

BTW, swapping is easy to do with RegEx:

file: "01 - Ramones - Blitzkrieg bop.mp3"

replace
"(\d\d) - (.*) - "
with
"$2 - $1 - "

Hey Mordejai!

Your program installed a shell extension "RegExRename".
I hate that without being asked first

I'm really sorry about that... I always teach NOT to decide for the user... And look and what I've done...

It will ask in the next version, I promiss.

Meanwhile, you can remove it by deleting the regkey "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\RegExRename"

I'll do more extensive tests, then...
BTW, it also requires Windows Scripting Host. But that should be installed by default...
