I received the error 'Component installation failure: This component does not support Mac OS.'

Since foobar2000 for Mac OS accepts components from version 2.6 onwards, is it possible to have a version of your plugin for MacOS, please?

As I've played around ColorChord visualization (especially with the DFT and the spectrum on top of the ColorChord program), I have an idea for this spectrum analyzer, and that is a feature to display chromagram (only makes sense on octave bands mode)

Also, the feature to set interval for dB ticks to anything other than 6dB steps would be cool, and the feature to avoid overlapping texts (by not rendering the second text when the position is too close to each other) would be a good addition

Support - (fb2k) / Replaygain one file as multiple albums? It used to work...
Last post by esa372 -
I sometimes choose to Replaygain a single audio file as two (or more) different "Albums".  For example, early CDs have both "Side 1" and "Side 2" of an LP.  When I rip such a CD, I sometimes want to Replaygain the LP's "Side 1" and "Side 2" as different "Albums".

This was no problem in foobar v1.6, and before, but since I've upgraded to 2.0, I can't do this anymore.  No matter how I divide it up, Replaygain keeps the same album gain for the entire file... I can't even change it manually.  (Of course, if I split such a file into two separate files, I can Replaygain them independently, but I prefer not to do that.)

My library is mostly in WavPack, but the problem also occurs with FLAC files...  however, it does not occur when using ALAC or AAC; I can Replaygain different sections of those files, without issue.

So, is this a tagging issue, a Replaygain issue, or a foobar issue?  ...and is it possible to correct it?
(I'm using foobar2000 2.0. WavPack 5.6, and Windows 10)

Thanks!

Is it necessary that an audio file first be in the state of having been clicked on and at least started before that audio file can be listed as a bookmark?

One of my recent uses of foobar2000 is to cycle through a set of audio files in a playlist with the goal of learning the material in the audio files.

For an example of my question:

Say there are fifty audio files in a playlist, and twenty of the files are played in sequence. Can the twenty-first file in the list be added as a bookmark without that file having been clicked on to play?

I have ctrl+v set up as a shortcut to add bookmarks, but nothing is added to the bookmark list until the audio file has been started. Just highlighting/selecting the track in the playlist doesn't get the track added to the list.

I suspect the answer to my queston is no but thought I'd ask.

And just to note that I would prefer to set up the bookmark manually in the above senario, not auto-create. I also like the idea of being able to return to a playlist and play audio tracks from it without it disturbing the bookmark that has been previously set in Vital Bookmarks.

Regardless if the above can or cannot be done. Thank you for your work.

I find it hard to accept that to view the X-axis when Windows is set to 125% scale (necessary for my vision) I must reset the DPI compatibility settings of the whole application and end up with blurry text.  The other spectrums I use on the same computer--Musical Spectrum with FB 1.6.17, and Enhanced Spectrum Analyzer with FB 2.1 64-bit--both show the X and Y axis just fine and with no compromise to the text.  I would hate to have to abandon such an excellent addition to FB's visualization selections because of this surely curable problem;  please,  I encourage you to give this thing another try.  Thanks!!
I'm not giving up. Obviously something is wrong with the size calculation. But it's hard to fix if I can't reproduce it. I have created DPI-aware controls in other projects before with DirectX but there I had control over the manifest that tells Windows what the code is capable of.
A DLL must rely on the capabilities reported by its host, in this case fb2k.

Edit: Breakthrough! At least I can reproduce it now... Thx to @Case  for saying the right thing at the right moment...

Another beta script to test.
Essentially it's a 1:1 clone of foo_jesus, but fully working on JS. Uses the same default config, except it now tries a backup every 30 min (instead of a day) and stores 8 backups.

It also adds:
      -  Global switch to enable/disable.
      -  Asynchronous processing (in my case foo_jesus always blocked the UI during seconds...).
      -  Output Path is customizable (not forced to 'Autobackup' folder).
      -  Files and folders to include are easier to edit and add. Works with masks AND maintains entire folder structure.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
      -  File name is fully configurable with the output path + date replacers (using RegEx).
      -  Tooltip shows the entries to backup (which can be named differently to their path like.. 'my files').
      -  Menu allows to force a backup or open the backup folder
      -  Has proper settings for newer foobar versions for playlists, statistics, etc. Also includes by default some config files from SMP/JSP scripts.

To use: Download the repository and install it following the wiki (it's the same than Playlist Tools, etc. and compatible with the toolbar)
