Title: PrologicII Decoder
Post by: Realtime on 2004-03-03 21:03:44
Hi everyone
I have some LT/RT Prologic Soundtrack files that I have to decode to five channels (= five files).

Anyone of you knows a GOOD Software Prologic II decoder? I've tried Nuendo but the surround edition (V2) has a bug in the matrix decoder and the V1 doens't sound so well in my opinion.

Another way can be the use of an hardware decoder with digital outs, but the problem is that the outs has to be 5, so I doubt that there's something on the market that do this stuff..

Thnx!

Perhaps you could use the decoder from PowerDVD (http://www.gocyberlink.com/english/products/product_main.jsp?ProdId=28) or WinDVD (http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Home.jsp) and then capture the output with something like Total Recorder (http://www.highcriteria.com/). I don't have any experience with it, but Hypercube Transcoder (http://hypercube.is.dreaming.org/) may also work.
