WinDVD/DVD-Audio problem

I'm trying to play back DVD-Audio discs on Intervideo WinDVD. AC3 and DTS works fine, but when it comes to MLP, theres a huge and annoying skip at the start of a new track. This problem happens both on my original DVD-A discs, and backups I made with the infamous DVD-A ripping tools.

My sound card is a Sound Blaster LIVE, unsure which model but it plays back 5.1 fine. I'm using KXProject drivers (but the problem happened on official Creative drivers as well.

The problem is that when I use the backup tools, these skips are recorded into WAV files as well. This is my main concern.

Does anybody experience similar problems to this?
