wav -> aac, dozens every day

Each day my organization sends out about a hundred mp3 files to broadcast stations.    We currently record audio into pro tools, cool edit, etc as a .wav or .aif.  From there we're using the lame mp3 encoder.

if we were to consider switching to aac, what would we need to do for an encoder?  I already have nero 6, and haven't even tried it for .wav -> aac.

ease and speed are of highest concern.

second, what's the simpliest way for the stations to convert it back to .wav or .aif?  We'd prefer they don't have to use a player and recapture.

many thanks!  We were early with the whole mp3 thing (using dos l3enc and l3dec) and hope to do the same with aac and our clients.

thanks!
