Title: FLAC & cuesheet tag
Post by: greeny on 2004-01-11 02:26:28
I wonder why cuesheet tags won't work with FLAC files when adding them through the "show file info" option. I know FLAC has its own cuesheet tagging system, but I don't like it since I can't edit it through foobar and it doesn't support artist/track title names.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Copying the code from foo_ape would be trivial but I don't want to compete against official cue sheet standard FLAC has set for itself. Therefore it hasn't been added.

Hmm, too bad I guess. I'll just stick with APE then, as the hassle of tagging the FLAC files would be too much for a lazy person like me
Thanks anyway.

Is there any chance "embedding cuesheets in FLAC" would be implemented in foobar2000 through "CUESHEET metadata block writing?"

just use metaflac.exe.  It is fairly simple (metaflac.exe --import-cuesheet-from=filename.cue filename.flac if i remember correctly.)

Or the other option is to use external cue sheets (as i have decided to do)
