Windows Store foobar2000: internal error - cannot access configuration folder

Hi, I am using the Windows store version of foobar2000 since beginning but few days ago I encountered a problem. I shut down my computer like normally and the next morning foobar werent starting anymore. THere comes a message "internal error - cannot access configuration folder". Maybe someone can give me advice how I can fix this with the store version and I dont lose my playlists and settings.

Can you attach Process Monitor log of the application launch? There's a detailed description of its use here at Appendix C.

Peter could also use your current config. Can you go to directory %localappdata%\Packages\Resolute.foobar2000_cg7j1awqsza28\LocalCache\Roaming\foobar2000 (you can copy the path from here and paste it to address bar in Explorer) and zip the foobar2000 directory. Attach the archive here.

I'm afraid that I have to strongly recommend using regular foobar2000 installs instead of MS Store.

Configuration files of my own foobar2000 MS Store installation (1.4.6) were corrupted during the upgrade to Windows 10 1903 yesterday; some of the files were filled with null bytes. The data was fine just before the upgrade and was corrupted right after the upgrade. It's obviously unrecoverable. It's not some random PC that might have hardware issues, but my primary development machine used to compile all foobar2000 releases; with ECC RAM etc.

Hi Peter, I forgot to mention that my pc did also an update to windows 10 1903. So this seems to be the problem. I reinstalled it and will set everything again. Sad that an simple update kills your beloved music player
