Submitting metadata from a newly created CD

I have a couple of CDs that I've created using CUE sheets, and I'd like to submit the metadata to the providers that CUERipper uses. I've burned the CDs using CD-TEXT, but CUERipper ignores CD-TEXT, so CUERipper sees no existing metadata. I've tried using CUETools to encode and verify using the CUE sheets, but while it appears to store the data in its local database (I can even add additional metadata that isn't stored in the CUE sheets), it doesn't seem to upload it, nor does CUERipper subsequently read that data from the local database.

Is there something I'm missing? Or do you have to manually re-enter all of the metadata in CUERipper?

I'm using 2.1.6 of both programs.

Though gnudb.org is an alternative source for the freedb database, it currently lacks features that will allow CTDB to retrieve and store the metadata. So for now you cannot submit new CDs for use by CTDB for freedb metadata.

You'll need create an account with MusicBrainz to submit new data.
You can insert the CD while CUERipper is running. Click the MusicBrainz icon (bottom right)

Once on the MusicBrainz page, click the "Submit this CD using the simple method" link and enter all the data.

Or use one of the other submission methods provided by the site, e.g.

But the point is I don't want to manually re-enter all of the metadata, as it already exists in the CUE sheet and CD-TEXT. Is there not some way to do that?

What about all of the other metadata providers that CUETools uses besides MusicBrainz?

CUETools and CUERipper use the CTDB (CUETools DataBase) for metadata. CUETools and CUERipper CANNOT submit new metadata directly to the CTDB.
CTDB replicates the MusicBrainz database hourly and Discogs monthly. Since freedb closed, the freedb metadata is from the last replicated database and no new freedb metadata is being added at this time.

CUETools and CUERipper CANNOT submit metadata directly to MusicBrainz or Discogs. If you wish to help out by submitting directly to MusicBrainz or Discogs yourself, you'll need to create an account on one of their sites and follow their rules and/or guidelines on how they want the metadata submitted.
