MPEG-4 Audio transport stream

I notice that ISO/IEC 14496-3 defines a transport mechanism for MPEG-4 audio stream without using any MPEG-4 system stuff for audio-only applications. In particular it defines a LATM (Low-overhead MPEG-4 Audio transport multiplex) multiplex layer for multiplexing of several MPEG-4 audio payloads and a synchronization layer LOAS (Low overhead audio stream) to support channels without frame synchronization support.

Just wondering is there any decoders support this kind of streaming for, e.g., AAC, or nobody use it?
