Can you give me an idea on portable FLAC players?
I have been playing the flac files using my iPhone.
Will a dedicated player would give any superior quality to the music played?
Can someone suggest a good FLAC player?

Probably not. What's wrong with the sound from your iPhone? ...I doubt you're any distortion or frequency response irregularities and I doubt you're hearing distortion unless you're driving it into clipping/distortion.
If you want "better sound" try some equalization and/or better/different headphones/earphones/speakers. These things can make a real difference... A different player probably won't make an audible difference. Or, try some different music.
I don't know about the current products, but it appears that iPhone 5 and 6 already had very good audio quality:

But if you wish to try a dedicated music player, Fiio has some attractive offerings.
Is it for headphone playback? What phones, what impedance?

Yes for headphone playback. The headphone is Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Smart Headphones
Arent those Bluetooth headphones? Pointless to ask about the quality of a device whose output you aren't using.

They can we used wired as well(If I remember correct). But is there any quality difference when you play via blu tooth?
For wireless the source is just compressing to whatever codec the headphones support and sending that over the air. For wired, you're driving the device's internal amp. In either case the source won't matter very much since the headphones have electronics inside that do most of the work.

What does this mean. We wont gets tru reproduction of music using headphones?
You'll get a lossy recompressed representation of whatever you play.

Sorry I didnt quite get this. Did you mean bluetooth headphones or wired headphones?

Over Bluetooth, these use AAC or SBC.
Wired, they can be used as normal headphones as well - but I do not know what they do if they are powered on.

That's shocking. Is AAC or SBC lossy formats. Then how these expensive headphones hot purchases in the world og HiRes audio?
I do have my favorite set of headphones which is the Creative Aurvana Live. To be frank this sounds better than the hefty bose headphones.
If you are shocked, try to test - blind - whether you actually hear the difference between AAC and FLAC. Try (from desktop computer) foobar2000 with the https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_abx component. If you use appleware for desktop too, there is an unsupported version here: https://www.foobar2000.org/mac
But remember that you bought headphones whose merit is to process the sound for a noisy environment. The Boses and the Creatives serve different purposes.
