...although it worked on 1.1.2.b2.

Now all its settings (in Preferences) are grayed out.
Is there a way to restore this feature?

put foo_w7shell.dll into .\components (was in .\user-components).
Now it's working.

That's true, the playback progress indicator in w7_shell stopped working with beta 4

foobar2000 itself is using the taskbar api now. does that cause any trouble?
