It is a shame the Qute developer doesn't want to make his code public.  Unfortunately, it is no longer default in FireFox.  Installing it was the first thing I did anyway.

Charamel looks nice, esp. the tabs.

The new default theme even has a glitch; when you have one tab open and open another with CTRL-click to open it in the background, the first tab's contents get shifted down a few pixel.

I saw this somewhere, that thouches delicate theme of default theme: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/djst/archives/005650.html, well at least throbber is better now to my liking.
Although default theme is the last thing I personally would worry about the new release.

Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR (Greenlane) has been released.

I seem to have noticed a big speedup in resolving and connecting to websites, compared with the previous version.  Also, there is a new RSS feature.  Also, the popup manager seems much more useable.

Downside:  Some extensions and themes may not work, though it will try to find updated versions and install them automatically for you.

..and if it fails to update them automatically, go to www.extensionmirror.nl, which has updated versions of almost all components.

I installed version 1.0 and after that
I downloaded the Noia 2 theme, but
the theme installation crashed. Now
the browser won't work anymore. I
get an "Error launching browser window:
no XBL binding for browser"
Installing an older FireFox version doesn't
solve it...

I also deleted all registry entries for Mozilla
and all remaining files as well as all temporary
Internet files, but nothing helps!

Does anyone have a workaround?

Problem fixed.

It was caused by the application data left over from
the buggy extension. Deleting the Mozilla folder in
Application Data and reinstalling FireFox solved the
prob.
