Columns UI - Inline editing for custom tags won't work?

Hello,

I'm pretty new to foobar, so please bear with me if I'm asking something really obvious.

After searching for a way to enable inline tag editing, I've come across the Columns UI component which does the job just perfectly - however only for those tags it came with (such as Artist, Title, Album...).

However, I've added a few custom tags like %genre% and %publisher%, which I need to edit quite a lot, and inline editing won't work with them. Any idea how this can be fixed?

"Linked meta field (for inline editing)" in CUI settings.  ("Columns" tab, "Options" sub-tab).
