Album split

For years I'm using Foobar Mobile (1.3.1 724). Due to space limitations I transcode to MP3 using a playlist.
As my sister gifted me a 1 TB micro SD, no need for transcoding anymore so I simply sync all my FLAC's to the SD.

Much to my surprise, I had a couple of albums split.
Normally an album is considered an album when both ALBUMARTIST and ALBUM are identical.

The first split I could solve, I paste the tags in Excel and compare them
  ALBUM = Brahms,J - Op.1 - Piano Sonata No.1      ALBUM = Brahms,J - Op.1 - Piano Sonata No.1   0
Excel thought them different and indeed one Album ended with a tab.
So Foobar is right and my tagging inconsisten but Foobar is also a bit severe as I simply don't have this problem using other media players.
Maybe trim trailing and leading spaces and tabs?

This one I couldn't solve
  ALBUMARTIST = Rittner     ALBUMARTIST = Rittner   1
  ALBUM ARTIST = Rittner     ALBUM ARTIST = Rittner   1

  ALBUM = Brahms,J - Op.76 - Piano Klavierstücke     ALBUM = Brahms,J - Op.76 - Piano Klavierstücke   1

Both ALBUM and ALBUMARTIST are identical, still Foobar split the album.
Does Foobar uses other criteria to determine if tracks belong to an album?
Both tracks are in the same folder.

I don’t see the release YEAR tag compared between the two files, do you have that filled in differently between these two tracks? I’m not sure for Foobar mobile, but some players use AlbumArtist/Album/Year for splitting albums.

Sometimes I have found the only way to have an album correctly combined when this happens is to remove the album from the card, update the library, then add the folder back and update again. I have had the same issue a handful of times on Android. Strangely enough I don’t actually recall the same happening on my iPhone though.

This is how JRiver display the tags.
DATE is the year of the release and is identical in both cases.
Thank for the suggestion anyway.
