Title: Tagging Vintage Singles
Post by: joeblawson on 2012-11-11 01:26:00
Hi,

I have some singles from 78's and 45's that I want to tag.

I already have the artist and song.

I would like to add the year and label. The composer and lyricist would be a bonus.

Is there a tagger that can do this?

Is there a database where I can look them up manually?

Thanks!

http://www.discogs.com/ (http://www.discogs.com/) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discogs#Software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discogs#Software) )
http://musicbrainz.org/ (http://musicbrainz.org/) ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MusicBrainz#Client_software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MusicBrainz#Client_software) and, if those two are not enough, just below you have a List of online music databases on Wiki)

Thanks, Zima. These sites are geared toward albums. They give me compilation albums that contain the singles. That's not what I want.

Isn't some of this on the record itself? With just 2 songs per record, it's not as tedious as manually entering LPs.

I don't have the records. What I should have said is that I have recordings of 78's and 45's.
