Possible to make "remove" (ie - remove from playlist) perman

To keep it simple:
- I have all of my music in a folder.
- A lot of this music I don't really listen to anymore.
- I'd like to remove songs/albums from my library without doing anything to the actual file, but every time I remove something, it just gets instantly re-added.

Is it possible to remove songs from my library without them getting automatically re-indexed (without deleting/moving the file)?

Thank you
