lossless = clipping??

just pondering some stuff. i dont really understand the clipping and how it plays in with the lossy codecs. and does it effect lossless codecs at all?? im using monkeys audio right now to compress albums.

thanks for the link. i was always wondering what exactly was happening. oh and is there a mp3 decoding plugin for winamp with replay gain?

No, there is not. In MP3 ReplayGain is currently only handled by modifying the file directly, so every player plays them with applied gain.

No, but there is a DSP plugin with replaygain support
