Can't split .flac file using the .cue file with Cuetools

I have vinyl rip of an album in flac format with its .cue file.'
when I try to use cuetools to split the flac into separate tracks, it gives me the error "Audio Format is not Redbook PCM"
After some googling, I've found out that cuetools cant split 32 bit flac files which is apparently how my vinyl was ripped in.
is there any safe way to work around this and still split it with cuetools or do i have get another software which will do the same for me.
if so could anyone please recommend another good splitting software such as cuetools.
PS: I've also read that medieval cue splitter is no good.
