Automatic volume reduction

would there be a way of having a component or something that would reduce the volume of foobar when there's a sound coming from ventrilo (or if not, any other sound).

The vent i hang in, sometime hours pass without anyone talking so I put my music on, and when someone talks i don't hear him. I then turn off my music and no one talks for a while.. and i turn my music back on. And so on.

Also sometimes, I watch some videos on youtube or something and i forgot turning my music back on for couple minutes and stuff.

Would be a great feature imo.

erm - increase volume of ventrillo while listening to music?
I am arrogant and I can afford it because I deliver.

lol that could work too but just wondering if such thing would be possible.

like detect other incoming sounds and reduce the volume.
