iTunes alternatives... Sticky? Wiki? Not?

I've seen any number of posts asking for alternatives to iTunes for managing media.

The answers tend to be the same.

Should we make a sticky list?

Should we put a chart in the wiki comparing features?

I'll be happy to take a pass at it, or to compile the info and pass it on to the moderators...

Thanks. I didn't know about that. (I should have looked!)

It is missing a few pieces of information that many posters here ask:

- iPod hardware support (music, video, art, podcasts)
- encoding and transcoding
- freedb or gracenote support
- automated album art lookup and tagging

Also
- finger printing
- scrobbling / last.fm

I'll see if I can add some of this.
