Album List and Playlist switcher panels will be integrated in left panel (buttons AL and PANEL around the QuickSearch toolbar)

the 4 buttons near the QuickSearch toolbar are Quicksearch for the same ... Artist/Album/Title/Genre

+ & - are buttons to Expand or Collapse groups in the Playlist

Mmmm 55090 tracks takes 200mb of memory lol but I do run other plugins like the known memory hog winamp DSP for DFX as the lazy asses at DFX aint made one for foobar.

IF there is a decent DSP plugin for foobar let me know.

Nice additions though, going to be real useful.

I will answer this question, although it is sort of off-topic:

I use (what I think are) five essential foobar plugins: Resampler (PPHS)>>Convolver>>Noise sharpening>>Advanced Limiter>>Tube Sound

That is the actual chain I run, in that order. My modded X-fi has a better frequency response at 24bit 48Khz, so I resample all music accordingly. Then, I convolute the audio from an RMAA impulse response using convolver, which tends to serve as a natural equalizer for my card. Noise sharpening uses a delta function f(x) + f(x)' to heighten peaks, which works quite well...I set this at 50% even though some people use it at different levels for different reasons, like cleaning up pops from vynil rips. Advanced Limiter prevents clipping due to your hardware/software/file setup, so I typically have this component last. Finally, I add a tube sound amp. simulator, which warms up the music quite a bit. I put it after the limiter because tube distortion usually works through sound clipping (although with pleasant results).

I hope this helps...sorry for the digression. But, to tie back into the thread, Foobar2000 plus Kameleon runs at less than 100MB/7% with all of this enabled (including visualizations).

NOTE: I keep compulsively reloading this page waiting for release 1.1! I'm so stoked. =)

Two things I've noticed that you may want to look into, Brett...

1. In the "Info" panel in the left-hand panel set, under "User Info," "Album gain" and "Track gain" both show the "dB" value twice. Example, "Album Gain: -9.11 dB dB." I removed the extra "dB" from the per-second coding for that panel. You may want to change this in the next release of Kameleon.

2. Also, not sure if this is a Kameleon issue or not, but when I add new tracks to the media library then play them for the first time, the playstamp is given the value "2" instead of "1". Any ideas?

Thanks again for your work on this config!

Edit: Actually, I've been noticing with ANY track I play, the playcount is getting updated twice. So a track with a playcount of 2 increases to 4, after being played once. (it should go to 3!)

Falstaff, while you're working on v1.1, have you looked into the problem with foo_input_mslive, I can hardly believe I'm the only one using it? A fix would be greatly appreciated.

And a suggestion, ever considered a own NoCD cover for radio stations, like you did for last.fm, when there is no album art?

Wow, that new left panel looks so promising! Exactly what I was waiting for. Thanks so much!

it's becauses stats writing are activated in the both stats plugins !!! you have to disable stats wrinting in foo_placount.dll (Prefs -> Tools -> Playcounter, then uncheck the 3 TAGs inthe Tag writing frame)
after, in the settings of Playback Statistics Custom, select where stats have to be written (files or database)

i have explain that in the doc for 1.1, so not available online yet

I guess

kameleon_elp_header_height

in extended variables is set to 0 by default.

Set it to 3 and all will be back to normal  (worked with me)

right !  but now, it's fixed, if extended variable kameleon_elp_header_height do not exists, it takes the value 3

Very nice

First I was surprised because the headers were gone, but it was easily fixed.

If there only was a way to hide the scrollbar of playlist switcher...

another thing. are the extended variables different because the artist background isn't working anymore or is it coded that way? Not that I mind it but I just noticed it

my short answer (and btw preview of v1.1 ):

i'm under XP SP3 with 4GB of RAM + C2Duo E6850 + nvidia 8800 GTS

Libray is near 29000 tracks. RAM never go over 100,000 Kb.

That just looks amazing!

I have this same issue as well. There is nowhere for me to configure the PlayCount component either, although I do have the Playback Statistics Custom component config.

Also, I have removed each unnecessary component and left only the components included w/Kameleon and foobar.exe is still using 300+MB RAM and a good amount of CPU as well (anywhere from 8-30% or more during normal use!). When I first open foobar.exe I can watch the process in Task Manager build up RAM and it takes a good 10 seconds or so before I actually see the Foobar window open. As mentioned in my previous post, the first & second tracks played after opening Foobar will sometimes take over a minute before starting the audio and during this minute, foobar appears completely frozen/unusable.

I tried temporarily removing what I thought might be the more CPU/RAM intensive components such as dsp, comserver2, shpeck, & chronflow and CPU usage went down considerably (to about 1-5% instead of 5-25%) but RAM only went down from about 300MB to 235MB, so my only guess is that it is something wrong w/my config. I do have 90,000+ mp3's in my media library, but the only playlist that is active has only 100 or so MP3's in it.

Task Manager with all components active:

Active Components:

Any help with this as well as the PlayCount issue is much appreciated!

There is nothing to configure on Playback Statistics (foo_playcount) except:
Preferences --> Advanced --> Tools
There's no need for something else
