Notification problem

Hello. When someone mentions me in this forum, I don't get a notification. What can be the cause of this, what can be done to solve this problem, and is this the case for other users too or is it just me? (I use Opera 95 as the browser.)

So nothing appears in notifications
Example(s) of mention (message ID(s)) that you didn't receive alert (you can PM)
Notification setting (alert only, alert + immediate email, etc.)

Browser:  wide  X   or narrow  X ?

@Klymins  If you're not going to answer my questions, I won't answer yours.
I gave you 2 examples of the icon that opens the Notifications page. Only the wide version shows the alert. The narrow version just changes color slightly when there's a mention.

I didn't get a notification for the quoted post, for example (at "Updated Topics" page). The notification checkbox for mentions is unchecked but it was the default.
I see the wide version per my browser width.

No, this is unchecked on me and that's because I see that page for the first time.

Can this option be checked as default to prevent users who don't know that page (like I was) from being unaware when someone mentions them (according to the purpose of mentioning)?
