Please help, the nero plugin messed up

There is a related post in the support section of this forum.

I have tried everything to get fubar2000 working again and its driving me nuts.

Here is what I did: I followed the instructions from a doom9 forum post:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&p...6664#post566664

regarding the DTS to HE-ACC instructions there.

To make a long story short, it doesnt work, I could not even add dts files to the playlist without a big window poping up with a string of errors, and now even if I completely unistall, reboot, reinstall, reboot I cant get back the prior functionality that I had. I can't even add a dts file to the playlist

any ideas?

a little more info, I've tried to re-create what happened.

After I put foo_nero.dll, Aac.dll and aacenc32.dll into the components directory, I opend foobar2000 and when I tried to add a dts file to the play list I got this error:

INFO (CORE) : startup time: 411 ms
ERROR (foo_nero) : Failed to open plugin 'mp3PP.dll'

I get the same error even if I copy mp3PP.dll to the components directory. If I ignore that and try to convert I get:

INFO (CORE) : startup time: 500 ms
ERROR (foo_nero) : Failed to open plugin 'mp3PP.dll'
ERROR (foo_diskwriter) : Conversion failed.

The files I copied from nero are from Nero-6.6.0.14

Just delete mp3PP.dll.  Unless you are using the mp3Pro encoder in Nero, it's absolutely useless.
