Peak search over the playlist

Hi!

Can the FB2k search for the loudest fragment among all the tracks in the playlist and play this particular fragment? When recording cassettes on a tape recorder, it is very useful to know the maximum recording level for the entire playlist or album in order to adjust the recording level on the tape recorder, which is guaranteed not to be exceeded throughout the entire album. ...
Does the FB2k have this capability (like "peak search" function on Hi-FI CD Players) natively or using plugins?

thanks.

You may use replaygain scan on the entire playlist as if all tracks were from the same "album". Then check the highest sample or true peak according to your need. You will not get the actual place of such peak though, only its value.

You can easily search for the loudest LUFS Integrated or True Peak or Peak levels in a folder, collection or playlist, but you'll need to listen or view the track in an editor to find the location of the peak. Audacity is free etc.
