Title: Minimum hardware specs to playback WavPack
Post by: krafty on 2010-03-27 21:59:07
If I ever wanted to build a home media PC with spare parts, what's the minimum (and confortable) hardware specs to get wavpack files playing flawlessly, that is, without stuttering and other possible issues (specially the high setting -h )? The system will be linux based, TV-card, and possibly will have moc as the player.

According to Hans Heijden (http://web.inter.nl.net/users/hvdh/lossless/lossless.htm)'s comparison, 900 MHz Athlon can decode WavPack -h about 26 times faster than realtime.
