Severe bug

Whenever I try to change tags or use replaygain on a file, regardless of whether it is playing or not, the program tells me "Verboten!" in the console. It sure seems stupid to have features built into foobar which can't be used. Well anyway I would guess the problem is as simple as the program "thinking" that the files are read-only or presently in use.

That is what happens when you try to update files while "Block tag update operations" is enabled.

Do you have "Preferences>Database>Block tag update operations" enabled? If yes, just disable that option.
