Somehow i had high hopes that dBpowerAMP would be the first music compression program that would be able to handle matroska audio files one day  .....

dBpoweramp needed to have a much superior structure than other, comparable programs when matroska implementation was simply done by writing a 'codec' plugin. Wediscussed this problem already a lot for both winamp and foobar2k, it seems we needed to write a plugin that will emulate another instance of the app also, so that the plugins for the audio codecs can be reused from the container plugin  .....

It is already small ~1.9MB - that if you really want to save 300KB you can manually delete the CD ripper part after install.

What's the status of Matroska support in dbPowerAMP?
