Hey guys...

at the moment my ColumnsUI config looks quite clear, what I really like.
I'd really like to preserve my layout but would love to have a clean but elegant look.
So, is there any way to make ColumnsUI look like FooDay (really liked that) or something like that?
Unfortunately I don't know anything about scripting foobars surface (yet).
Any suggestions for a quick way? Or would I have to go the long route and learn scripting anyway?
The ugly Seek-/Volumebar and Buttons at the top bother me most, so is there a quick way to just change them?

Thanks in advance.

Without some scripting skills, you are pretty much stuck with Columns UI or Default UI. Haven't used either for a while but I believe you can change the buttons in Columns UI with your own .png images. As for seek and volume bars the only alternative option is WSH Panel Mod, which requires jscript or vbscript knowledge. You can check the thread for some ready made example scripts though.

Thanks, I'm gonna check it out. Maybe I can assemble something from the example Scripts.

Hey all

My goal was a  compact and clean looking config without much unnecessary clutter, and at the moment I'm quite pleased with the result. Before I release it I'd like to get some testing and feedback from others, so if you are interested, send me a PM.

i have kind of copied the appearance made by xbullethammer and suited it to my needs...

I've been using this config but how do you remove the spacing between the last track and the group header?

CUI can be skinned to death, but also can be used as simple UI enhancement

Here is my config. Pretty simple and effective!  I am new to this, so please bear with me!

Here's my CUI config:

Only thing I'm not very satisfied with is the WSH panel at the bottom with the track info. I'm not much of a coder, so I just modified the default to fit my needs. Does anyone have anything cool in a similar vein they could share with me?

How did you get the album art to be displayed in the middle of a spectrum analyzer ? It looks great !

i guess it's actually two spectrum analyzers around the album art.
it can be done easily by using panel stack splitter

I only use CUI to test my components, so this one is rather basic.
