I want to be able to install ".fb2k-component" files on a Mac by double-clicking

When trying to install a component on a Mac, the ".fb2k-component" file is not associated with the file in Finder, and even if you drag it to the foobar2000 Preferences component, there is no response, making installation of the component a bit of a hassle.
