Not an exhaustive study, but the only time I see 'lyric show' as a text displayed is when a track is stopped via stop.
At all other times it defaults to found lyrics or the configured settings as mentioned by vogliadicane.

If this is the issue, then I do not believe there are any settings to remove without developer assistance.

Another idea is that it would be awesome if we could use multiple Lyric Show Panels. For example, one could use one small lyric panel for the main music library screen and another big one for a tab dedicated for displaying lyrics in big full screen size (if you have party guests so everyone could see the lyrics).

You can try with Lyrics panel, and although you can add multiple instances of this lyrics panel, the settings are same for all instances

A feature request:

- Adding a button for searching another/next lyric-file, and buttons for adjusting lyric by 250/500ms increments (or custom defined)

Reason: Often it downloads an improper lyric for various reasons, and it would be nice if you could easily switch to another lyric. I.e. a button could search using the already predefined pattern and choose the next (lrc) lyric in the list. Also a button for removing the timesync would be nice. Could be useful for alternative performances of a song that would not match the sync anyway.
Can't wait for a HD-AAC encoder :P

where do you want these buttons, in the panel itself? 

I am very happy that there´s nothing except of the thing it was made for - the lyrics!

But I think the ideas as options are good (e.g. remove timesync), maybe just add them to the context menu, or better the main menu (view/lyric show/...)? ...then one can make custom buttons with panel stack splitter.

Very good feature request: Would be cool if Lyric Show Panel would be also be refreshed if the song is paused but the user uses the seekbar. Then users could use the seekbar to directly navigate to a specific part of the lyrics, not having to resume playback first.

Another idea: Please add option to use color gradients for background color. It would look awesome if theres not just a single-colored background but a smooth color transition.

When using Cyrillic encoded text or just Cyrillic chars in UTF-8 encoding, Lyrics Show wraps text on any character, not on word:



So I tried with "Assume charset" in Misc options, but whenever I change something it's reseted to 9494 - Korean

Can anyone tell me how this thing works?
you install it and then what, do you have to add something , some url or a thing like that?
cause i installed it but i can only download lyrics , and after i downloaded them i can play them?
also can i add this thing in the default user interface and how?

No, this is a ColumnsUI extension. You can add it as a panel (hence the title) in ColumnsUI.

What do you mean by play it? It works right out of the box. You play a track and it will display any lyrics it can find (if any) in the panel.

Brings up plenty of info for you to consider.

This component's implementation within the Default user interface is via a floating panel which will not 'attach' to the DUI but works well for me.

is anyone experiencing low cpu usage while using this component in Windows 7?
usually, my foobar2000 rarely has cpu usage (almost always on 0%), but when i use this component, cpu usage almost always varies between 2-5%.
has anyone else noticed that?


on xp everything works fine...

Hi,

I defined a search path as follows
D:\Media\Lyrics\%artist%\
and that's where I want to store my lyric files. Ok, everything works fine so far - the download options are set correctly.
But thing is, it stores my files as:
D:\Media\Lyrics\%artist%\%artist% - %title%.lrc
But I want to have the following kind of save format:
D:\Media\Lyrics\%artist%\%title%.lrc

Another thing is, the only lyric file name I defined under the "setting tab" is by %title%. There is no search for "%artist% - %title%" but it finds files formatted like this.
It seems to me being a standard/default configuration and to me it is very annoying.
So all I want to say is I just want to store the lyric files the way I prefer, not your plugin does. ;)

Hello, i have a problem on the lyrics automatic search.
I found that most of the results are inaccurate however if i use Online Search, it displays the correct lyrics on the results.
Any idea what's wrong here?

In my experience it always worked like this. It sometimes loads the lyrics for the wrong song. My guess is that its buggy.

I think that your problem has to do with the component's "cache."
Once I deleted all the files there (%FOOBAR CONFIG%\Lyrics) it worked correctly.

I don't think so. Sometimes the lyrics for a song I never listened ot is shown, but when I search I only get results for the song that is playing.
