Unable to interpret CueTools repair results

hi all,

I ripped a CD with EAC using secure mode.  The resulting log file indicated there were errors with 3 files - "3 track(s) could not be verified as accurate".

I ran the repair feature on CueTools, but I don't know what to make of the result.  I have new flac files in the output folder along with three other files: image.accurip, image.cue, and image.log.  The .accurip file indicates it has "corrected 307 errors", but I don't know what the rest of the log is telling me.  The .log file appears to be identical to the original EAC log including the error messages, so I don't really know why its there.  Most importantly, are the new flac files repaired?

I apologize if my question seems obvious or if its been answered elsewhere - I've searched within this forum and on google, but I've not found anything that explains things in a manner I can comprehend.

I've uploaded the EAC log and the .accurip file - any help would be greatly appreciated.

thx

The EAC extraction log is just a copy (no changes).

I'll look at the accurp log later (unless you could just post the text).

So to be clear, the image.log is always simply a copy of the original EAC log?

This is the text of the image.accurip file:

Yes.

The bottom section of the accurp log is showing you the CRC32 of tracks 1, 8, and 10 are now different than they were in the image.log (look at the 'log' column, CRC32 means a match to that column, the original CRC hash in the log column means a difference).

The top AccurateRip section shows all ten tracks as accurate with a confidence of 3.

Edit: try to explain log hash difference better and fix auto-spelling-correction errors.

thanks Korth,

I can be confident then that CueTools has done a repair?

It was the image.log file that had me confused, not to mention the other info in the .accurip file (Offsetted by -5 and Offsetted by 676).

I've tried CueTools a handful of times before, but I've always been a bit unsure exactly what it was doing.

You could run 'verify' on the repair. That would give you both CTDB and AccurateRip results.
If you have the 'Verify' section on the AccurateRip tab set to 'Write AccurateRip log' 'In source folder', you should make a backup (rename) image.accurip
In this wiki page I tried to explain the accurip log.
