Firefox And Ha

Hi,

I've switched to Firefox and I'm experiencing a weird problem and HA. I see the forum in a weird display, it's all in a whte background and no quote colours are available. It's kind of a lo-fi version (but it isn't, already checked).

Someone has experienced somethign like that? It's really hard to read, I have to open it in IE

Thanks.

Damn, so the problem is on my side (I 'hoped' this was a general issue so someone has a solution)... I really don't know what could be the problem, it only happens in this forum, others are displayed correctly.

firefox perfect with HA here too, i can only suggest you try a fresh install with latest non beta to a new directory, if error is the same, i'd ask for help at the firefox forums.

Try the obiligatory cache, cookie, temporary files emptying first before reinstalling.

From the way you described this, I believe that I had this exact same problem. I got rid of it though. What I needed to do was as follows: (only try this if nothing else works):
1) Backup all bookmarks and Firefox settings. Cause in this process, you'll otherwise lose them.
2) Uninstall Firefox.
3) Delete the directory for Firefox in Program Files.
4) In your "Documents and Settings\[Winodws User Name]\Application Data\" folder, look for a Mozilla folder, and in that Mozilla folder, look for one named "Firefox".
If you can't find this directory, search for a directory named Application Data or Firefox, and you can figure out the rest from there. Once you find this Firefox directory, delete it.
5) Reinstall Firefox.

Back when I had this issue (and this was one of several sites that had issues), simply reinstalling did not alleviate the issue.

And I do love Firefox.

jkwarras, could you check to see if you can see the quote block in this post?

If you can't see "Alphanumeric letters work here too. 1, 2, 3." then you have the same problem as someone in Korea.

edit: test code for blure from bbs.kldp.org

Alphanumeric letters, 1, 2, and 3.

Code: [Select]
Alphanumeric letters, 1, 2, and 3.

Really weird, at work with exactly same installation as at home I can see HA correctly (under windows 2000 pro). So, I can see the quote block in the forum kjoonlee.

It seems I'll have to uninstall/reinstall Firefox at home. Thanks for the replies

My Firefox displays HA like you described when I check something like 'always use my colors' in the General options tab. Did you check that?

@RedFox: I can't reproduce that. It looks lo-fi, but I can still see inside quote blocks.

Quote blocks yes, but no quote colors
NB: avatar images are displayed, the setting only affects colors, so it's indeed different from the lo-fi version.
